Ok Pharmacy, just way too popular. So busy. Often a long line & wait... I use one way less busy w less confusion too.

On Jan 31 either my doctor's urgent care staff or Walgreens sent a prescription to a store 23 miles from my home versus the store requested which is 3 blocks away. Received text prescription ready at 5pm. On pick up, no offer to transfer prescription or a warning store pharmacy's closed early so missed pickup plus this locations pharmacy closed New Years day. Was able to switch prescription to Walgreen's national competitor on New Years day but the switch took a lot of effort.

I pick up prescriptions, then a couple hours they tell me I have another prescription ready. They should have all that figured out. Why weren't they ready a couple of hours ago when you went there? So disorganized and inconsistent.

Can never fill my prescription for one of the most common blood pressure meds without being out of stock. Any phone call to pharmacy results in being put on hold and lengthy (over 40 minute) wait. Passport photos unavailable because camera stolen. In person pharmacy lines endless. Major difficulty getting transgender hormone prescription. Told me they didn't know a prescription I've had renewed there dozens I'd times had been prescribed to me. I can't understand why it has to be this bad.

The nice thing about Walgreens is it's a convenience store as much as a drugstore so they carry some of the items that I need sometimes from vivo paper towels to feed you waterIs to ice cream. Staff in the store are committed to high standard covid 19 protocols they all wear masks and I noticed one cleaning carts. They were also protecting their staff by having screens up at the checkout lines. I really appreciate the commitment to a safe environment and a clean store people forget that wearing a mask is as much for protection of the staff as themselves. The customer service was great I had 2 different staff members take me directly to the item I was looking. When the line started to get long they called someone up to the front right away. Just remember it's about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. I really try to look them in the eye when I'm checking out and tell him I appreciate the work they're doing it's a small thing but I think all of us can easily do it. Is kindness an appreciation really don't cost anything.

Usually have what I need. Lines get backup sometimes. I always seem to have problems at the pharmacy. They are extremely slow. Rude. ALWAYS seems to get it wrong. Uncaring. I switched all my script (s) to CVS. CVS IS GREAT.

I had a medication sent in by my dr on sunday I went to pick it up the next day just to be sure that all my prescriptions would be filled and ready to be picked up. When I got there they had not filled it because of an insurance issue and had to switch to generic so I asked them to do that and I would come back. I then went back on Friday to pick up the one prescription that had to be switched to generic. I called when I was in Marshalltown on my way back to Des Moines to make sure that in those almost 5 full days they had it filled and ready to go. So when I called I asked and they said they were "just getting it filled now" I get all the way from Marshalltown to Walgreen in Des Moines go in and ask for my prescription and I was told that it was not yet finished and it would be about 5-10 minutes. I sat and waited and waited and almost 20 minutes later they called my name. What is even more ridiculous is that it wasn't a narcotic it wasn't even pill form. It was a nasal spray that was prepackaged they just needed to put the sticker on it and in the bag. I was really furious about this especially since the prescription was sent in by my dr 6 days prior......
