Alexandra is very friendly and responsive to requests. The property is beautiful and I love the hardwood floors, and large rooms. The rent is also very affordable compared to other rents in the area.

Alexandra, the property manager, is amazing and made the moving process much easier than at any other place I’ve rented before. The neighborhood is fantastic, with everything within walking distance. You can also bike along the new bike path on Ingersoll, and the bus route runs along Ingersoll as well. If you have a car, there’s no need to worry; there’s plenty of parking available on both sides of the property, and an enclosed parking garage is available for a reasonable additional cost.
The property itself is a vintage gem, featuring beautiful details throughout. Despite its age, the staff has done a wonderful job maintaining it and renovating where necessary. The courtyard is lovely and provides a great place to take pets for a short stroll. Even with the gorgeous hardwood floors in the unit, it is so quiet that you won't hear your upstairs neighbors. Plus, the neighbors are super friendly! I couldn't recommend this place more – it’s a 10/10!

I’ve been here for about a year and the apartment manager, Alexandra, is SO nice. Anytime I’ve had an issue she’s made it just as important as it was to me. She made me feel very comfortable going through the process and every single interaction has been nothing less than amazing. Miguel, the maintenance man, is friendly, quick to respond, and genuinely cares about the inconveniences of apartment living. He’s never shrugged off an issue I’ve had, he’s hardworking. The both have made, what I call home, pleasant and memorable. HIGHLY recommend Windsor Terrace Apartments.

I’ve been here almost a year now. This is the first place that has truly been a home to me in so many years. I love my apartment very much.
When I moved in I was upset about some pet damage from a previous renter on the doorways in the apartment that look like a dog was locked up in the bathroom and the bedroom but that is really the only thing I didn’t like. I documented it and decided to enjoy my home regardless. It is an old apartment complex so I never expected perfection or modern aesthetics.
My neighbors across the hall and downstairs are respectful and nice, saying hello as we run into each other or stopping for a chat.
The maintenance is helpful and nice. Property manager, Alexandra is kind and caring as well.
This is my home and my little ESA buddy, Ghost and I love it here. He loves the courtyard, although he isn’t good with other dogs. All the neighbors keep their pets leashed so that’s a big plus for me and I appreciate it very much as well. There is one issue I find every now and then where a pet owner didn’t pick up after their dog but I don’t notice it too often and I’m not always stepping in it.
There is also a concrete slab in the courtyard that I have used to roller skate on a few times now as I have degenerative muscles in my legs- it’s great to have a little spot to get myself moving. I’m sure it would be great for tennis, pickleball, badminton etc. the courtyard has some nice picnic spots as well that I plan on taking advantage of when it cools off a bit.
Don’t expect a perfect modern apartment here. This place clearly has a history and charm to it. I enjoy adding my kitschy decor to my place- slowly making it more and more cozy. The main rooms are spacious as well.
In my part of the complex, my particular neighbors make me feel safe here as well.
I love that I have so many places to walk to and it’s even across the street from Des Moines University- where my family medicine doctor is located as well as my podiatrist. It encourages me to be more active!
Thank you all very much.

Left after new management took over. Amanda and Miguel were great but the new owners are horrendously unorganized. Listen to the bad reviews.
Maintenance issues left unresolved. They kept the phone hooked up to the old MGMT office for at least 2 months after they moved in. Email responses took forever. The main building is based in another state and their inbox is always full and they never pick up.
On top of that I had friends living in the building who reported catalytic converters being stolen from the garage(which management took absolutely no accountability for) and no working heat over the winter. This was all after they raised rent $200.
Do yourself a favor and do a background check on the owners other properties and you'll get similar reviews

If the way they handle snow removal is an indicator, then I would pass on renting from this complex. After the 12 inches of snow we received, they are the only property on Grand Avenue that has not cleared the sidewalk. Calling the city.

Ill give this place 4 stars at least now for getting mostly everything done and finally hiring our maintenance guy back! He got all my problems solved with in the time frame he usually does which is a hour later or the next day if its not a emergency!

I did not have working heat until JANUARY. It was 30° outside! Not safe. Building and upper management acted like I was inconveniencing them for wanting fully functioning heat. STAY AWAY!!!!

DO NOT RENT FROM MTHThis company took over my building in 2022 and just about every aspect of living there now is a nightmare. Unresponsive and unprofessional property manager that does not take care of tenants, regardless of what she says, and always comes back with excuses. It took SIX MONTHS for them to remove late fees that were their fault (did not send me a payment portal link until six weeks after change of ownership) and only because I agreed to pay some fee that they still have not given me an invoice for.Maintenance requests are fulfilled in an untimely manner, IF AT ALL. It took two months of consistent email and texting to even get anyone to look at my broken oven. When they finally got me a “new” one, the maintenance person they sent had never installed an oven before (their admission) and exposed me to a gas leak for several days. No compensation or real apology. I have also gotten uncomfortable comments from a maintenance person while they were in my apartment and the manager has tried to enter my apartment without notice.Extremely poor record keeping. Several break-ins that tenants were not notified about. Everyone I know that has moved out did not receive their deposit within the 30 day window and/or were lied to about its whereabouts. Poor groundskeeping. Unreasonable rent increase ($720 to $875 one bedroom with old, drafty windows, no AC, no thermostat, no garbage disposal or any other modern amenities). No security cameras. I could go on and on but you get the gist.

Do not move here. Since MTH management has took over, maintenance requests take weeks to complete. Part of my fridge stopped working and it took them 17 days to fix it. Leaving me with minimal options for refrigeration. They replaced my non-working fridge with a dirty working fridge (pictured). I also have a request for my stove to be fixed since October 11th and have heard nothing. My stove is not safe to use and sets off the smoke detectors and fire alarm when I attempt to use it. In August, I had some bubbling paint sanded down and painted over, the person who did the repairs did a great job, but painted my walls white when they were off white (pictured). The property manager told me in person to put in a maintenance request to fix it. When I submitted the request, I was notified that upper management that \\\"all that was to be painted were the spots that needed repaired.\\\" Which they painted but the incorrect color. From my pictures, you can see my walls are blotchy and multi-colored. I have never been so disappointed in a property management company and I hope people consider other properties around the area. Update 12/15: I had to file a complaint to the city to get my stove and walls painted. The property manager told me there is currently no maintenance person on the property, and this was the best way to get things fixed in my apartment. I was also made aware by a neighbor that the apartment building has had two break-ins in the last 2-3 weeks. The property manager did not inform any of the tenants in this building that this happened. Unsafe place to live.
