I purchased a new washing machine from Lowe's along with the price of new hoses for an install and to cart the old machine away. Two guys show up and set the machine down and want me to sign for delivery. I said, that I will sign once the install is done. They talk among themselves and then tell me that they cannot install the new one as my hot water hose is corroded. (See photo). So I refused delivery and they hauled the new machine out of the house. I go to Lowe's to get a refund and the girl cannot get the total of the refund to match my receipt so she wants me to sign for a refund that is $86 less than I paid out. NO. Someone else walks up and solves that problem. I don't care if it costs me $200 more to go to an appliance store. My Lowes credit card met my scissors today.

After 14 months, the counters that I purchased with installation through Lowes are not done. Many promises and calls later (as well as through corporate Lowes) have not solved the problem. I really think that 14 months is long enough for a counter installation to be complete, but no help from Lowes.

I just purchased 2 major appliances at Lowes. I appreciate the excellent knowledge the employees in the department have. I spoke with 2 on 2 different days to make the shopping decision. Both were very helpful. I was disappointed that I was unable to get the model desired because they were out of stock and delivery was predicted to be at least 6 months out. Still I'm happy with what I was able to get--a higher model. I really appreciate two things available at Lowes. 1. The My Lowes card (a key ring card) keeps track of purchases making returns easy if you've lost your receipt. 2. Veterans get a 10% discount on purchases, though sale items, like my 2 appliances which were on sale, may not qualify because they are at "the lowest sale price" available. Recommend.

Yesterday I was in the Dubuque, IA Lowes around 1:00 PM. I was looking for a refrigerator water filter of which there are 50 to pick from. The young man at the appliance Dept register looked at the photo I'd taken of the model number, pulled up the filter I needed and took me right to it. I was so happy because he really knew what he was doing and I didn't. Then I needed popsicle sticks for a craft. I know it's not a craft store but a man named Aaron stopped mid run on the way to do something else and I asked him, thinking there was no way Lowes would have popsicle sticks. Aaron said "I think we actually DO". He looked on his phone and they did! In the paint Dept Aaron and the nice paint man, took me right to them. If you need anything for your home I'd go to Lowes in Dubuque on Dodge Street. With businesses needing the business and having such trouble staffing, it was refreshing to have people who wanted to help me and were great about doing it. Customer Service is not easy but this was 5 Star customer service.

I have purchased several appliances from Lowes. I always purchased an extended warranty. I assumed this would take care of any issues with the appliance. It does not. I had a Samsung refrigerator that required a mother board. I requested service from Lowes with the standard response. You must contact Samsung. It was never repaired and went to the landfill. We required a refrigerator and purchased another one from Lowes. It was an LG refrigerator purchased on 24 May 2017. It has a five-year warranty plus the extended warranty which means it should be fixed immediately under warranty. I called the warranty number provided by Lowes. I really have had no response from the warranty company except they are working on getting a service company to fix it. This has been seven days since the refrigerator died. I went to Lowes yesterday and the assistant store manager told me it was my problem. The warranty companies won't talk to a Lowes agent. They also stated Samsung and LG are the worse companies to repair their appliances. If Lowes knows this is an issue, why sell extended warranties unless it is to rip off the consumer. I will never buy an appliance from Lowes again. I will locate a local company that will service their products quickly.

The young gentleman working the the area of bathroom vanities went way above and beyond on his helpfulness. He even found another worker to help him load our truck. They were so nice and helpful. The lady at customer service sadly was not anywhere near their level of professionalism.

Ordered carpet from Lowe's. They had the installer call and set up install. Long story short I emptied my room only to not have them show up. I have to wait another week to have someone hopefully show up. Call the store and talked to the manager and was told not his problem and hung up on me.

Customer service is the worst at this Lowe's in Dubuque and management should be aware of this. Was on a call with the carpet dept and the associate did not want to answer any questions on the carpet then told me I should really come in and feel the carpet. Then he pulled the phone away (only slightly) to yell at other associates to help customers who were waiting. Two days before I had been to the store in person in the appliance area and then when asked for help they called someone for me. I waited for 10 mins and no one showed up so I asked another person walking by for help, this person also did not seem to want to help me find what I needed.

This is just a brief synopsis of the two page letter that I sent to Lowes Customer Care. I usually purchase my appliances through an independent dealer in Dubuque, but when my washer broke, I looked into Lowes for a new one. I purchased my new washer and gas dryer December 18, 2019. The computer went down half way through the purchase and they had to start over. After I left the store, I received a phone call that the dryer was on backorder for 6 weeks. I decided to wait the 6 weeks. The units were suppose to be delivered and set up on January 28. On the 27, I called Lowes because no one had called to let me know if the dryer had come. To make a VERY LONG story short, the dryer never came in, after insisting I was cancelling the order, they found one in Ohio and were shipping it that week. After a week, I had to call again to check on the status. Yes, it was in. The units were delivered (after 7 weeks from purchasing) that week. WRONG color and installers that complained the entire time. After complaining to Lowes, I was told that the Dubuque store needed to deal with everything. The only response by management was "unintentional mistake and learning experience for our staff". I will never purchase any appliance from Lowes again and will advise anyone who asks my opinion of their service to do the same.

So on July 1st I went to Lowe's in Dubuque to buy a gallon on paint. I went to the desk in the paint department and was standing there waiting for someone to wait on me. Anyway I'm standing there looking around to see if someone can help me and a worker stopped to help me. She called over the PA for someone to come to paint department. She walked away then and no one came . Finally my daughter went to the register to ask for help. One of the gals came to help me and mixed the paint. She seamed a little miffed. Anyway this whole process took 1/2 hour that should have taken 15 mins at most. So much for customer service. I mean this is a place that sells a lot of paint. Wouldn't you think they would have a person in the department at all times. I noticed that there were many workers in other departments just standing around looking at their cell phone.

The Dubuque Lowes just continues to under impress me. From my first foot in the door, neither the Customer Service person nor the Ready Ship (or whatever they call it) people, both of which looked at me, even cracked a smile, much the less say hi or welcome. Then I spent an easy 1/2 hour looking at the job site table saws because I need one for a couple of upcoming projects that I have. I couldn't tell you how many sales people walked by and again not a single offer for help or anything. THEN, after I went comparison shopping at Menards (where 2 people said good morning and welcome and 2 more offered help while I was looking at their saws) and returned because Lowes UNFORTUNATELY had the saw I wanted, it was the same deal. I looked around for help to load the 100+ lb box onto a cart and there wasn't a soul to be found. Just as I was finishing, a guy walked by and didn't offer any help. As I checked out there was no offer to help load the obviously heavy box so I asked. I waited by my truck for an easy 5 minutes and no one showed. So, I wrestled it by myself. WHAT TOTALLY CRAPPY ATTITUDES AND LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
