“I have been using Cedar Rapids Animal Hospital for our pet's veterinary needs for almost 30 years. During this time the owners and doctors have changed but the care for our pets has been exceptional. They have seen 8 of our cats and 3 of our dogs over the years. We no longer have cats but enjoy our 3 dogs.
For each of our passed companions, the doctors and staff have shown great compassion.

“My son's hamster fell sick on a Sunday night. I called Monday morning and the receptionist was extremely kind and understanding to the urgency of the situation as not many providers see hamsters. She was able to work us in between appointments.
The office was very clean and front staff were friendly and helpful.
The vet and vet tech that treated our hamster were confident and gentle. They spent time answering all of our questions, did a thorough examination, and gave us treatment options. The vet was very sensitive to my son's worries about his pet.
I would highly recommend.”
“This is an efficient, professional organization that will spay or neuter kitties, dogs and bunnies. In addition, they can provide vaccines, flea treatment, etc. Local veterinarians voluntarily provide the services. Costs are very low! They also rent humane traps to collect cats that are used to trap, neuter and return the animal, thereby reducing the number of feral cats.”
“We've been taking our dogs here since moving to iowa. Dr. Ross and all the staff are super nice and compassionate. Recently one of our dogs split his nail to the nail bed. They tried cutting it down to nail bed and long story short, our dog is hyper so it couldn't heal and 3 weeks later they had to decalw that toe and remoced a mass on back leg. Its been an ordeal with him ripping stitches, staples, swelling, etc. They've been super compassionate and helpful through the whole thing making sure he gets the best care possible to to get him healed, despite his stubjirness”

“It has been several years since we were at Blairs Ferry Pet Hospital due to the loss of our girls. We took our two new little girls to see Dr. Streeper and it was as if we were just there yesterday! Everyone was very helpful and kind. Dr. Streeper is very gentle with our cats and explained everything that would be taking place in their upcoming procedure. So glad that we are back in the calming atmosphere of the hospital. Highly recommend!”

“Made an impulse choice this morning when my kitty was sick to give Park Towne Animal Hospital a try (since I used to trek to my home town back when I just had one cat) and they provided my baby boy stellar care!! Dr. Johnson and I had three conversations throughout the day as she completed the exam, x-rays and treatment for my sick kitty. Keeping me updated was a welcome and appreciated gesture she so kindly provided. I respected her thorough care and trusted her professional opinion. She answered my questions and provided a few tips when I picked up my little guy after work. I was grateful he could stay the day to be looked after before I took him back home. He's been snuggling up and finally eating more tonight and seems to be doing well back at home. I used to swear by my hometown vet due to their attention to detail and down to earth demeanor (and I'll admit - affordable pricing!) but Dr. Johnson has convinced me without even trying that I can find a great local vet for my two felines right down the street. Much gratitude for your excellent care of Graham today and I feel confident knowing I can bring my kitties in to your trusted care whenever they need in the future.”

“My dogs and I absolutely love VCA Edgewood. The vets are knowledgeable and the kind of vets that you can tell really love and care for animals. The techs and assistants are equally as kind and knowledgeable. They can almost always get my pets seen the same day when something comes up. They don’t push for unnecessary tests or scans, only suggest them when needed and they always give options. The receptionists are always kind on the phone and in person. All around the people who work here are animal people and that means a lot to us. We love VCA!”

“I take my dog there. I love that they go above and beyond for his care. Small touches add to it. They found that he had an ear infection that I was unaware of. They mailed a get well card. I got it that day. However, the only reason why I can’t give 5 stars is the cost. He had his annual visit, 1 vaccine, ears checked. The bill was close to 300.00. I guess I don’t know the normal cost of pet care. It just seems a little high to me. Other than that, I am happy with them overall.”
