Goodwill Iowa City is a well-organized thrift store offering some of the lowest priced and affordable clothing, furniture, household items, electronics, toys, and books. It is located in a unique place close to Hy-Vee and Salvation Army. The store is laid out great and has just about everything, with staff always available to help. While a previous computer area and "Reboot" section have been removed and moved to another location, many find it a favorite spot for great deals and a great shopping experience. The store operates as a nonprofit supporting employment services and community programs.
Found some pretty cool books and a few tennis rackets that I've been wanting to get pretty cheap.

Quite nice. I was able to find a portable CD player here (the only place in town that seemed to have one) as well as dirt cheap CDs by Soul II Soul, Lisa Stansfield, and Saint Ettiene.
