“It stored my stuff so well. When ninjas came to take my $10 lamps, a robot was magically produced and fought off all the ninjas. Unit was decently sized, stored more than we thought it could. It's not every day you have to store the entire country of Belarus, but StorageMart is the place to go to store yourself an entire country. Temperature was good. The place smells amazing and nostalgic. Your stuff will be safe from ninjas and mold.”

“Customer service here is so amazing. My code wasn't working because I was in the wrong section as google maps kept telling me the wrong side of the area. They got me in and to my unit on a weekend in an emergency. Can't give five stars cuz my unit was not as cool as I expected nor as clean.”

“The facility is clean and very well managed. They have thought of everything when designing this building. I especially like the fact that you can drive in an unload your moving truck. The people there are very friendly and make you feel at home. I would recommend this facility to anyone that is needing to store their items. Wish they was 24 hour accessible because we do own our own business and have equipment that we need to switch out and sometimes we can't make it before they close at 10 but we manage somehow lol.”

“The gentleman who helped me was wonderful and when I called he was courteous and professional. The facility is clean and well maintained. My unit was spacious and easy to access and I felt my belongings were safe. HOWEVER, something is not right with the fees. My unit was advertised at $14/mo and a promotional deal was 50% off for 3 months.
I never got anything 50%. My 1st month was $14-ish. The second month was $28-ish and the 3rd month $36-ish. My first 3 months were supposed to be $7, that's why I got the storage unit, because it LOOKED like value. I'm a low income earner and if I'd known it would be $36 a month I would not have done it. I NOW know that you have to have a protective insurance for it but that was not made clear to me upfront. And I never got the 50% off promotion. So I'm having to re-evaluate whether I want to continue doing business here.”
“While I was stressed about moving in sight unseen, the day-of couldn’t have been more pleasant! The employee available was super helpful with insurance questions, the space itself was easy to find, and the filling up and locking down was a breeze.
While the entrance is a bit confusing (there are multiple gates off Hickman road, so you have to mind your Google Maps), the experience otherwise was great. Highly recommend!”

I searched for clean, well-maintained, temperature controlled storage units in the Des Moines metro area and was very happy to find Rich Leonard and Park Avenue Self Storage. The security and cleanliness of his units are second to none. The owner, Rich, is friendly and easy to work with.
