Dutch Country Inn is a very clean, cute, and quaint old-school motel. It is well-maintained though a bit outdated, offering reasonably priced rooms that are cleaner than many higher-end places. The beds are firm but have nice soft pillows and very nice quilts. The front of the inn is charming, though the back area can be less so. The staff is amazing, treating guests like royalty with great service. A highlight is the breakfast, featuring famous homemade Amish cinnamon rolls described as the greatest and sooo good. It also includes cereal, oatmeal packets, granola bars, bread, and bagels, but no waffle maker. The inn is in a very cute little town, though there is pretty much nothing else around nearby except a Subway and a Mexican restaurant. Walkability is great, allowing guests to reach just about everything by foot. It is also an easy 10-minute drive to the Riverside casino for gambling or concerts. Many guests suggest staying here and report they will definitely come back again.
It is clean, feels like home. I loved the Bible scriptures painted on the wall above the beds. As if the owners are praying for over you when visiting the hotel. We are diffenatly coming back.

Amazing place and amazing staff! Allowed us a late check out due to a family emergency and it was SO helpful to get some extra sleep. Staff went above and beyond when I realized I left something in the room, they kindly mailed it to me. Great place!

Nice little hotel on the edge of Kalona. Conveniently located next to a grocery store, restaurants, and gas station. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Don’t miss the cinnamon rolls at breakfast, otherwise the options are very limited
