When I first moved to Iowa, I was very hesitant to go into a Great Clips. The Great Clips in the past that I have been to were horrible, they got to scissor happy and rushed through cutting my hair. Mind you, I have fragile, fine like hair that breaks easily. I found Great Clips here in Marshalltown, and met an AMAZING woman who took care of my needs, and took her time delicately trimming and fixing my hair that the past 'hair people' messed up on. She gave me back my layers, shaped my hair to fit my face figure, and even knew American Sign Language!! We connected through Signing together, even though mine is a little rough but she helped me remember the signs and motions. She is an absolute doll!! She made me feel welcomed, I trust her with cutting my hair, and giving me tips and advice on how to keep it looking healthy! I told her the stories about cutting my hair and donating it to kids with cancer, and she said that Great Clips where she works does that too!! We have planned to cut my hair off at the correct length when it is time and donate it just in time for Christmas!! That way children have something to look forward to, and enjoy! Charlotte is absolutely the sweetest, most kindest soul. She cares about others' well-being, and always is polite! She has the brightest smile, and always makes sure her clients are taken care of. She is beyond sweet, the kindest person I know here. I will always want her to cut my hair, and her only.

Use to go here all the time, 2021,2022 .. went here for a "quality" cut in 2024 and the barber was horrible... Terrible Taper, sides went way to high up and made basically a ugly setting for the top of my head, won't come back .

I love going here to get my haircut. They have a short wait time especially when they have a check-in online option. My favorite stylist there is Raylynn. All the staff are friendly and courteous.

Requested style: I always get a short hair with one side longer than the other and I never have them use a scissors always the razor my style is always knows what I want and just ask me the usual

They did not listen to my feedback at all, and butchered the curls off the side of my head I was and still am extremely disappointed. I am not happy at all three months worth of growing my dang curls out completely gone.They don’t know how to handle people with curly hair at all and it still pisses me off like I feel like I was given a disservice. This is not how I wanted my hair done, but the damage was done, and there was nothing I could have said to fix it. I told them I wanted it to lay properly not remove my damn curls.If you value your efforts in growing your natural hair out please just avoid this place it’s a complete joke. They don’t even know what you ask of them. I am still very upset.

I'm being generous with the one star I went in yesterday to get my hair cut and they ruined it the girl had no idea how to cut my hair or beard my beard was so patchy I went home and shaved it all off she It took everything in me not to tell em just shave my head and I'm not paying I woke up this morning and I still hate the way it looks

Took my 4 kids in to get their haircuts here. 3 out of 4 stylists were amazing. However, Teri is the worst. Untalented, unprofessional, and extremely rude. I am very dissatisfied with the service here solely because of Teri. She needs to be retrained or replaced.

My fiancé came in for a specific haircut and even had pictures and the stylist completely butchered his hair. It was our anniversary today and it was ruined by how upset he was was the service. We're getting engagement pictures tomorrow on top of it, so we had to go to Ames to get it fixed. They're also super understaffed for a Saturday and had to turn many customers away. Not impressed at all and will not be coming back. She didn't even know how to do a fade. Unprofessional.
