“My car broke down on I-80 late at night. A patrol officer gave me a lift to Newton, where I spent the night. I wasn’t sure where to tow it the next day, but saw great reviews on Magnum Automotive, so I chose them. I am so happy I did! They solved an engine light problem that was related to a part that had been repeatedly replaced by 3 other mechanics, including my dealership, all within months of each other. They were kind, knowledgeable and patient in explaining the issue. They test drove it for 25 miles before handing me back my keys. Friendly staff, shuttled me to my hotel. Truly a port in the storm for a stranded motorist.”

“I called about having a chip repaired in my windshield. The receptionist was very friendly, they got me in the next day, repaired it quickly, and when I left, I realized they’d cleaned my backup camera so I could see clearly when I reversed out of a parking spot. Such a nice extra touch!”

“Michael was great to work with and showed me various aspects of how the dash worked and talking points on the car. The staff were all very friendly, from evaluating my old vehicle to check the worth and then on to the financial end of pointing out different options that were out there for me to consider. Great job!”

“Very knowledgeable family business, specializing in all types of electrical. They did my shocks, tranny, headlights, front end clip, a/c, and brakes. Whatever you need, just ask. If they don't do it, they will send you to the best at what they do. My family rides safely. They are like family.”

“FINALLY an honest mechanic in Newton. I appreciate his honesty, he looks at what you take you car there for, nice clean shop, super quick to get you back on the road again. Double checks his work and is very knowledgeable. I will ALWAYS be taking my car here now! I Went a horrific nightmare with another shop in town and when I mention just that to anyone most come uo with the name but I was new to town at that time. But Anthony's is NOT like that place he is trustworthy and all around nice guy!!”

“I doubt if this place is open. I have called Jeff's line numerous times over two years and it goes to voice mail. He was my mechanic for over 3 years.Very friendly and competent at his work. I miss his service dearly. I send messages to his voice-mails and texts no one has answered. Last time I decided to do a walk-in his wife said he was recovering from knee procedure. I don't know what happened next since I gave up calling.”

“If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I had them transport a fork lift for me and install a set of tires. So far, so good. I drove it to the local car wash to wash it and it jumped time and wouldn't run. They towed it back to their shop and stored it while I made arrangements for repairs. I was at their mercy and they treated me fantastically. It was bad luck for me but they were a tremendous help when I needed it!”

“The service department is lucky to have Luke!I was on a long roadtrip through the area, had just pushed my car through a blizzard, and needed last minute help servicing my car as a result. This dealership was right along my route, so I called the service department less than 30 minutes ahead to ask if I could make a pit stop. Even with this last minute request, Luke was helpful and speedy, ensuring my car got necessary maintenance to run efficiently. Everyone was in high spirits and welcoming when we got there, and I was back on the road with a happy car shortly after.(Bonus point for the organized toy area that kept my son occupied).”

“My car lost its transmission driving from TX to IA for a funeral. Carey picked us up and towed us to Des Moines. We dropped off the car at the dealership, and he took us on to the airport to rent a car. He was so helpful and caring. I couldn't have asked for a better person during a stressful time.”

“This place was awesome! Probably the kindest Walmart employees I’ve ever met. They didn’t have any trailer tires (which I needed) but gave me options for if I found any in town and brought them back (because other places had them without rims). The auto shop employees were patient to inform me of options and were also willing to educate me with my questions (as I want to learn to do maintenance on my own mostly). Was only passing through town when I got a flat on I-80; these guys got me back on the road within a couple of hours! Greatly appreciate their assistance!”
