“I had car trouble, they were right off the interstate. Staff was awesome. I was unsure how long I would be stuck, so went day by day. Even a half day was accommodated. Everyone was so understanding and helpful. I had nothing with me, but the front desk gave me personal care items, and made sure I had what I needed. Room was nice, comfortable and clean.”

“Very clean and modern hotel. It's in a great location with amazing shopping and dining nearby in addition to fantastic walking trails. The continental breakfast in the morning was also amazing. Didn't visit the arena next door, but this hotel would be super convenient if you were visiting for a game. The in-room kitchen was amazing as well.”

“My score got severely affected by the fact that I could not get a breakfast at 10:08 am, despite being a guest for continuously 3 weeks as breakfast is served until 10, so you have to go instead to lunch menu, so who is having lunch at 10am? That is something this hotel who is providing a meal in Bistro has to take into serious account.Some of Bistro staff need serious training before even thinking to communicate with guests.Coffee is also disgusting and for price they charge the juice , shoul not be taken from a plastic can with much aditivesThe hardest workers here are cleaning service staff. They are the stars of hotel.”

“My dad and I spent three wonderful days visiting Iowa City and the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was in large part by the Hotel Chauncey and the lovely views of the city the building provided. The room was quite spacious and very comfortable. The beds were large with plush pillows. The bathroom was large also with a walk-in shower which is convenient. The hotel was quiet when we stayed there so that was an added bonus. With a downtown location, we were able to get pretty much anywhere wanted by foot or with a short drive. I wish the hotel would have had a restaurant for breakfast though. There is a coffee shop on the second floor if you need a quick coffee moment before heading elsewhere to fuel up for the day. Breakfast withstanding, I would stay here again for the comfort and the outstanding views!Noteworthy details: The rooms have outstanding views of Iowa City and the surrounding countryside!”

“Our family was passing through and needed a quick overnight. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly, attentive and helpful. He saw our boys in soccer uniforms and offered them waters, incredibly kind gesture. The lobby and main area was clean and welcoming. Our room was exactly what we needed for the night. The hotel was quiet, even being next to the highway, I was surprised we couldn’t hear it. Breakfast was great, fully stocked and the attendant was lovely and worked very hard. She even distracted a crying baby so his parents could eat. Exceptional customer service. Thank you!”

“I would like to take this Hotel with me on all business trip. Rooms are stylish. Internet is free of charge and super fast! Like over 200 Mbps up and down. The Graduate in Iowa City is partnering with „the GYM“ which is a fully equipped fitness center and you reach it from the Hotel via Level 2. A cafe near the Lobby area serves you a nice coffee. Awesome Hotel and always again!Walkability: Hotel is in the center of Iowa city you can reach anything via foot.Food & drinks: Plenty of restaurants closeby.Noteworthy details: Super fast internet!”

“My sister and I stayed here on the first night of our road trip as it is very conveniently right off I-80. Upon getting out of the car, there was a very weird smell outside although that cannot really be traced back to the hotel. We were also getting slightly weird vibes however the second we walked inside we were immediately reassured. The inside is quiet, clean and comfortable. The guy at the front desk was very kind and helpful. I also had to call a couple times to add notes to my reservation prior to check-in and he was always the same on the phone as in person.

When we entered the room, any lingering doubt we had was erased. The beds were clean and very comfortable to sleep in with full warm comforters in comparison to other hotels that typically only provide thin blankets/quilts. There were plenty of towels (4 of each type) and the water pressure was the best we’ve ever had, not only in a hotel but ever.

Breakfast the next morning had a very good variety of delicious food (HIGHLY recommend the potatos!!) and they have drinks available 24/7. Although we didn’t use the pool, it looked very nice and clean as well.

The only things we agreed that could’ve made our experience better was if there was a gym and an elevator as we were on the second floor however these are minor things and overall our experience exceeded our expectations!! We will be back!”

“Stayed for a week on a business trip. Never been to Cedar Rapids before and Heidi the concierge at the front desk went out of her way to recommend great places to for our team eat and some local trails within walking distance that I could explore nearby! I would recommend the Radisson to anyone traveling for business in the Cedar Rapids area.”

“So this is bottom of the barrel as other reviewers suggested, however once you embraced it and lean into the trashiness it is a lot of fun. Will your room smell like smoke? Probably. Will there be burn holes in the blankets? Most likely. Will there be a threatening sign in the bathroom about the towel being UV tagged so you don't steal? Yes but that's also so absurd that it is hilarious. Keep your expectations low and instead of complaining just laugh and you will have a great time. I'll be honest, this is a POS motel but for some reason my family and I have made this our go to hotel whenever in Iowa City. Is it sad? Again, yes. But is it fun? Also yes.”
