Sleep Inn & Suites Mount Vernon is a nice hotel with very clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The continental breakfast is good and the pool and hot tub are wonderful. While the hotel is older and rooms can seem a bit dated, it remains a clean and convenient location, particularly for visits to Cornell College. It is roughly 30 minutes from Iowa City. Some guests feel prices are high, but it is often the only hotel around. The conference room is available for events. Overall, it is a nice place to stay.
The owners care a great deal for the property and the building is clean. The rooms are spacious clean and comfortable. Breakfast has something for everyone. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed themselves. Plenty of food options with grocery store across the street. Lots of parking. Thank you!
