“I came in an hour before close on a Tuesday asking to have my tire patched. I’ve never felt more comfortable at an auto repair shop! They couldn’t patch the tire because of where the hole was but they were honest, friendly, and made the time for me. I left free of charge with a quote for tires. I unfortunately have a warranty that covers tires at my dealership. I wish I could give them more business because they were amazing. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs them. Thank you!”

While they might not be the lowest price you can find, they stand by their products, and the one time I had to take advantage of their 1yr warranty, it was fast and painless. The current car battery I have (from them) is going on 4 years, and was recently tested by them and given the all-clear…they were honest about it and didn’t try to over-sell me on a new battery. Appreciate being able to trust them with my machine battery needs.”
“Had my battery tested here which tested ok. The gentleman thought that I may have a parasitic draw that was draining my battery. I took my truck to a shop and indeed was a parasitic draw. My light in my back seat was in between on and off so even though my light wasn't on it was still draining my battery. Good job batteries plus!”
“I'm staying in Ames while my mother is in the hospital here. My regular mechanic is in Chicago. I heard a loud noise coming from under my car every time I went over a speed bump in the hospital parking ramp. Took my car to Macky's and asked if they could look at it. A very nice man immediately came out to the parking lot, looked under my car and was able to fix the problem (heat shield had come loose) in a few minutes. He very nicely explained everything to me, made a recommendation to have my mechanic take a look at it when I get back to Chicago, and I was back on the road with no more funny noises a few minutes later. Great experience--definitely would go back if I had another car problem while in Ames.”

“Jon at ZZ Shop just got an A+++ from my husband and I. 3 years ago our pickup was hit with 3 1/2 inch hail balls and we’ve been patiently waiting for insurance and another auto body shop to repair all the damage. Finally went to ZZ shop and told him of our dilemma and Jon went to work for us,and after “several” phone calls, emails, photos,and waiting for parts…. Drum roll… Jon got it in and 3 weeks later it’s Done and beautiful and looks like a million bucks!!! A million thank yous go out to you and your crew!”

“We had a situation with my wife's car losing power and stalling which several other mechanics in other shops had been unable to diagnose. The mechanic at Freedom Tire told us to bring it and he'd fit in in. It was only a couple of hours before he called us to say a chimpmunk had made a bed in our air intake out of the filter and also destroyed a sensor. It was only a few hours later and the car was fixed. New customers for Freedom Tire!!!!”
