“I absolutely loved this place, and it went on forever! Beautiful fabrics, delicious chocolates, and ceramics galore! The ladies working that day were amazing - friendly, helpful, and professional. I just couldn't help myself! I purchased enough to keep me busy for a few winters, and the teal ceramics make my heart sing. Worth the 2,000 mile round-trip trek!”
“In August 2025, we visited the Margie Jane store in the Amana Colonies in Amana, IA. The Amana Colonies are a collection of 7 Amana settlements in Central Iowa of German descent, and they are not Amish. The Margie Jane's store had terrific metal sculptures and decorations, and it was super fun to browse through the colorful and clever displays. Apparently, the Amana Colonies are the most visited tourist attraction in Iowa, and it is easy to see why this is true.”
