I searched for clean, well-maintained, temperature controlled storage units in the Des Moines metro area and was very happy to find Rich Leonard and Park Avenue Self Storage. The security and cleanliness of his units are second to none. The owner, Rich, is friendly and easy to work with. I give this 5-star facility my highest recommendation for taking good care of precious family items.”
“The people here are so amazing they pretty much saved my life out of them everything Erica and v and Laney in the very first time I got there I'm at Laney I was starting there for a couple days and the freezing cold they never turn me away I had no way to unload my unit they were so wonderful to me there was another U-Haul company I had a truck with they were calling them and explaining my situation and handling everything explaining why I wasn't able to drop the truck then I was able to use my three months that you get with a one-way truck I'm so grateful for how wonderful these people are they truly are set of angels and you will be lucky to get a storage unit with them thank you all so much for all of your assistance and not push me away or making me feel any way uncomfortable”

“I had a coolant leak in the rental box truck I had driven from the Washington DC area for fire department training in Ames. The young lady behind the service counter was very nice and the Technician Ron was very helpful. I went and dropped off the load of training props I had and then he dropped what he was doing to get me back up and running as fast as he could. I was given a truck that was subpar in my opinion but you all took care of repairs professionally.”

We had an issue with getting our keys on time for our new rental property and green acres/penske did absolutely everything they could do to make sure there was as much stress lifted from us as they could help with. “The owner was EXCELLENT and very fair!!! He gave me the truck rental during a very busy period for a 26 hour period when U-Haul said I could only have it for 12 hours during the busy season. I had a three bedroom house to move and am not a college student. He reduced my mileage rate and only charged me $10 when I was late returning the truck. This location was so outta my way but very worth the experience and service!!!”
“We normally wouldn't have ended up here, but we had to swap out a truck in short order and the staff was as helpful as they could be within policy limits and made sure we were ok, set up the trucks perfectly to make the swap and lent us a pallet jack so we could complete the job. and they gave us a truck that improved the quality of our trip significantly. “The facility is clean and very well managed. They have thought of everything when designing this building. I especially like the fact that you can drive in an unload your moving truck. The people there are very friendly and make you feel at home. I would recommend this facility to anyone that is needing to store their items. You can rest easy knowing that they care as much for your items being stored as you do.”
