Terrible service the manager does not know how to be professional in anyway we went to rent a truck and he failed to mention or go over any of the details with us. Manager is never actually in the store. It took us a week of stopping into the location and calling to finally meet with him and even his employee said that he popped in and out whenever he wants so unprofessional.

This is my second bad experience! I will not be coming back and made sure to pass on my experience to my friends and family.

My daughter needed to be out of her old place at noon on May 31, 2024 and could not move into different apartment until 5pm on June 1st. We would not be able to bring trailer back until late Friday or early Sunday. This was explained, by my husband, at the time of booking. After my husband drove two hours to pick the U-haul trailer up, he was told it needed to be back the next morning. My husband told the guy that that’s not what he signed up for. The guy then told him that he would have to go to Tama, IA to pick one up if he needed it longer. This was at 9am on Friday morning and we needed her to be out of her apartment by noon. By the time my husband would have gone to Tama and back, it would be at, or past noon. We had to have another friend, who lives in Cedar Rapids, pick up a van, and quickly drive it up here. It’s supposed to rain tonight. If anything in the truck gets wet, I guess we can send the bill for replacement to you, because I’m certain everything will not fit in a van. The incompetent person manning the U-haul place in Waterloo, should have told the people who didn’t need it until tomorrow, to go get it in Tama. Instead, we are getting punished for the incompetent employees who cannot make a proper reservation or problem solve. U-haul-you need to do better!

Convenient. Courteous and helpful. Didn't have a 10ft available so gave me a 15 ft truck for the same price.

The truck ran well and we had no problems with it on the drive. The woman that checked us in when we returned was very kind and helpful.

Just go with Penske. Way better rates and they're guaranteed to have the size truck you need.

It was pretty easy, however I was given a very high mileage vehicle with less than a quarter tank of gas and told to bring it back as close to that level as possible... REALLY??

Similar to other posts, I reserved a trailer a week in advance only to be told the day before my move that they didn't have it and I needed to drive 40 minutes to get one. Terrible customer service. I need to move so I'm going to drive the 40 minutes but I will never use them again.

Pretty sure no one works here… came to by boxes and no one is to be found, except for some people talking outside. Try to call the phone and get an automated response that all employees are busy helping someone in store. I’ve been the only jackass in here the past 15 mins.

I took advantage of the self-service feature and found the process extremely straightforward and convenient. As long as you have a good mobile connection on your phone, it's quite easy to check in and out. The truck I was assigned was clean and in good condition.

If I had to I'd give this place a negative stars because this place is a joke. I talked to somebody on the phone about 2 hour south into Iowa was quoted 182.00 thanked this person told them I'd call back to reserve after I talked to my wife and I called back just before I had to start work they tell me it's going to cost us 270-300.00 dollars... I found later they put coverage plan on the car and they didn't offer or ask me if I wanted coverage at all they just did it... You claim to be the best guess what you are the biggest joke especially when someone or somebody is limited on their resources... I'm telling everyone find or go somewhere elseI stand by what I said about U-Haul U-Haul is nothing but a bunch of crooks they don't even work with customers by trying to give their deposit back they say they have never took a deposit but they did and they are a bunch of crooks
