“I purchased a pair of biking gloves for $150. The product is supposed to keep you warm below 0 degrees. It was 20 degrees while I was using it. Didn’t work. I wore them once. I called the Erik’s bike shop in Des Moines. Asked to a return or exchange. Spoke to Joel, just a complete smart mouth. Asked to speak to a manager. He said no, won’t do you any good. Called back and got the a “manager” from the office name Cameron. Same smart replies. All their calls are taken in Minneapolis. Told them to have a district manager call me. He said no. I said I will call back Monday and he said you will get me. I’m the manager and it won’t go any further. Horrible product. Awful team members. Don’t buy from here. They don’t guarantee their product.Thankfully William Lisle was amazing. He helped fix this issue. The call representatives Joel and Cameron should not be in customer service.”

“After a bad experience at another bike shop I went to Bike world in WDM. I had a few minor but important issues that needed the attention of a knowledgeable tech. Given that shops are gearing up for Ragbrai I didn’t have much hope getting on the road any time soon. As soon as they opened I walked in the door and was met by Ben. I told Ben my story and how frustrated I was and what I was hoping to accomplish. He assured me he would address these issues and I would probably be on my way before the end of the day. Got a text four and half hours later bike was ready. I phoned and spoke with Mark who explained to me what he had done and reassured me it was all good.Have to confess, I wasn’t in the best frame of mind when I went there, didn’t expect anyone to really care about my issues, left with a bike better than new and a Tech willing to stand by his work and to “ call me if you have any problems”. The bill was a fraction of what I was expecting to pay given my previous experience at the other shop.Ben and Mark were great. People I can trust. I found my new bike shop.”
