I made a vaccine appointment here but they are closed!? No one has notified me and they already ran my insurance so I have to pay out of pocket at the other place. Very bad experience

This CVS location was very neat and isles well organized, the employees were very great and speak to you as well, the parking lot was not full so it was easy in and out service I definitely don't mind coming back to shop at this location if I'm ever in the area.

Everyone is always so nice there. And today the manager (I didn't catch her name) went out of her way to tell me about the perks of the CVS app. Very friendly and helpful!

Well I will say, all in all I've had more good experiences at this location than other CVS locations. At this particular location they do seem quite busy and under staffed . That is just the sign of the times I guess. For me the cost of my meds. are great and I'm usually at Target once a week anyways, so its easy for me to pick up my prescription when ready.

I have had several five star experiences here this week as Dipika and another pharmacist (whose name I didn't catch, I'm so sorry!) worked to get all of my medications from various providers. I can't say how much I appreciate everyone's hard work. Thank you so nuch!

My whole family goes to the CVS inside Valley West Target, West Des Moines, IA for prescriptions and vaccinations need. I had a recent interaction with pharmacist Ms Dipikaben for a vaccine that is required for my upcoming international travel. She went above and beyond to get proper information regarding the correct vaccine type and advised me whether I should need anymore vaccines. Truly amazed by her profession service. Thank you!

Recently, I needed to purchase a prescription ointment and I happened to check the cover of the one I purchased back in 2018. I noticed that at the time the prescription was filled the medication was three months shy of expiration but the CVS sticker said to dispose after a year. This was concerning to me not only for the fact that I was given a product that had been in the shelf for a very long time but also for the misleading dates. This is an expensive medication and I don’t have insurance this time so I had to make sure that this didn’t happen again. In any case, this was an issue that had to be addressed.I went to the pharmacy and spoke to a staff, who immediately took a defensive stance (although I told her I am not a confrontational person, and I was just expressing my concern). First she tried to brush it off by saying that it was an old incident. I said it didn’t matter since it was still wrong. Then she said the sticker automatically prints a year long validity. Then she said it was the fault of the person, a former employee, who dispensed the medication and who should have explained the dates to me. I said I wouldn’t blame an individual for this. CVS shouldn’t have had such old products in the shelf to begin with.Like I said, I don’t blame any individual for this - not the person who dispensed the product, and not the staff who fiercely defended her employer. I blame the company practices. I checked the Internet and it turns out CVS has a history of selling expired products. More than anger, I feel disappointment that the very entities that we are supposed to trust are the ones deceiving us. How they dehumanize us to just names/numbers on the packets in the pharmacy that wait to be picked up. How they fail to realize for once that the conditions that we are suffering from are perhaps distressing us and affecting several aspects of lives. We trust them into providing us with products that we consume in the hope that we will feel better but we end up being nothing but numbers in their sales chart. When transaction and sales are in the agenda, empathy has no place on it. There is a reason why healthcare system is so broken.

I have been there several times in the last two years for new prescriptions. I have been very pleased with the courtesy and helpfulness of all of the pharmacy staff I have encountered. I plan to use this location for all of my immediate prescriptions. I use CVS mail order for all of my long-term prescriptions.
