Dollar Tree in West Des Moines, IA, is a popular destination for affordable shopping, offering a wide range of products from craft and party supplies to everyday essentials. Customers can find household items, health and beauty products, cleaning supplies, food and drinks, toys, and seasonal décor, all at budget-friendly prices. Many shoppers appreciate the cleanliness and organization of the store, noting it as one of the cleanest Dollar Tree locations in the Des Moines area. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the store's inventory management, mentioning that there were unopened boxes and limited choices for seasonal items like Halloween. Additionally, there have been complaints about inconsistent operating hours and a lack of staff, which affects the shopping experience. Despite these issues, loyal customers still find value in shopping at Dollar Tree, though some are unhappy about recent price increases. Overall, Dollar Tree remains a go-to spot for those looking for great deals and a variety of products.
The Dollar Tree on Merle Hay and the one on 63rd both have a great selection and are clean stores. Staff was a bit friendlier at Merle Hay, but had a pleasant experience at both.

Of course, prices have and may increase again. However, the store is in fairly good condition and customer service is great. Polite, kind, and store knowledgeable (overall good people/humans 🙂).
