Sunny was super helpful! I got an outfit for my interview and she managed to find stuff for my short, petite, curvy, self. Thank you sunny for wishing me luck on my interview ❤️

Visited the store on 12/5 between 12-2pm. Had a return that I would’ve preferred to exchange but no greetings or help from any of the workers. Male working the counter wasn’t receptive or kind; blew me off and walked away from me when I asked a question, did not ask another worker to assist me instead.

I had purchased some things online and had to do a pretty complicated transaction return/exchange/price adjustments in the store. I was really dreading it but Valerie was so incredibly helpful and patient! Best customer service I have had in a very long time!

Have you EVER heard that if you remove the tags that you cannot return? I bought retail at the mall. This store has a little black tag that says do not remove. I thought it meant in the store. Maybe the staff? I didn’t try it on. It was my size. I had a last minute event. I wanted to wear the dress and blouse. I took off the tags, put on the dress only to find it went above my knees. I’m elderly so I don’t wear clothes above my knees. I don’t like to try clothes on in the store. So, I took the clothes off right away and put them in the bag to return. When I got there to return the items I told the clerk I had never worn the clothes. She started looking at the under arms and examining the front and under arms of the blouse and dress. I realize that people buy something and wear it once and return it BUT I DON’T HAPPEN TO BE ONE OF THEM! Then both of the clerks showed me the small print on a black tag. It said “If you want to return.” The big print said Do not remove the tag. What if it was defective? What a crock! I guess they assume everyone is a liar. If I knew the tag said that and I wanted to wear it and return it I would have figured out a way to tuck in the tags. I guess the world is full of liars but me? This is a loss of almost $100 because of small print on a tag. Don’t buy there unless you READ EVERY TAG. Who does that?

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with a member of Express at this location that I think is worth sharing. I had ordered a few items online that just didn't work for me. I made sure to call ahead of time to check that I could return online orders in store. The gal who answered the phone was so nice and energized, she listened to me completely and let me know what I would need to bring for an in store return. I ended up having the same gal I spoke to over the phone return my items in store for me. She was even more pleasant in person than over the phone. In my opinion, she excels at customer service and is an asset to this Express - Jordan Creek location. Thank you for making my experience amazing!

Valerie was the most helpful associate I've ever had- and I do a lot of shopping. Went tooking for very specific colors for our fall pictures and she was helping so much without being overbearing and trying to push a sale. She cared about what we needed over getting the sale.

This is a nice express store but the employees need to be re-trained. I went in there to check if they have some online clothes in store. The curly hair girl looked at me upside down and asked “are you size XS?” while throwing the judgment (clearly I’m not an XS). Sad to say Express supports body dysmorphia. Why does it matter what size I am. Not everyone is shopping only for themselves nowadays, lady!

Really small store over on the men's side. I am used to going to an Express Men that carries the majority of their seasonal line. Now, I am no fatty, but everything was "slim" and "extra slim." No offense, but as someone coming from the outside, people in Iowa aren't exactly known for being "slim," much less "extra slim." Therefore, why would a store in Iowa only carry those two styles of clothing cuts? Now, I have to go online and try to find something that fits and hope it gets here on time. After Valley West Mall goes out, this will be the Des Moines Metro's only Express store. It sucks to have to shop online for everything.
