This place is straight up garbage. I've had numerous bad experiences from being double charged for a shower surround, to never getting someone on the phone, to being yelled at by customer service, to damaged product and poor lumbet cuts, to having Kyle the courtesy clerk complain about his job and just watch us load items into the vehicle. After voicing these concerns to the assistant manager, I gave them one last chance today. I needed two panels of drywall cut in half. I stood at the pro desk behind another customer while a woman ignored me eating chips and talking to a coworker. After several minutes of standing, she looks over at me and asks if I need something. No I'm just standing here blanking off into space because that's what I do in my free time. She then proceeds to SHOUT AT THE DISABLED WORKER to help me cut the drywall. Are you kidding me??? I'm done with these unprofessional and rude employees at this store. Menards and True Value are much, much better. Avoid at all costs!

Drove to the store to pick up a vanity this morning. The one on sale they said they had in stock, I went to go measure to make sure it would fit. Drove back 35 min later and they said it was sold out weeks ago. There is a different one on display in the middle of plumbing department that has a big tag that says $799 from $1199 and I think, great let’s just do that instead. We get it loaded onto a cart and they decide to scan the tab to make sure it was the right one, and they say,” actually, sorry, this item isn’t on sale anymore” and now full price again. I guess I’ll go check out Menards. I’ve probably spent $750k here in the last decade through my business and starting to rethink where I do business

Charles in Tiles dept was exceptional. He help with giving us backsplash designs and ideas and put tiles together for us. We did buy our tiles at lowes thanks to Charles for helping us!

Purchased an under cab microwave from store in Ames, IA. They said they had to ship it to me because it was not in stock. When it arrived it was damaged and after contacting store they said I would need to call the location at 1700 50th st. West Des Moines Iowa because that’s where it was shipped from. I called customer service and told them I would save them another trip and just bring it to them. When I got there they told me I had to give them my cc to prove I bought it from them. I had the paper receipt as well as receipt on my phone and did not want to give them my card to return it due to the delay in money refunds. I just wanted to swap it out . I asked if they could just do a store credit since it was literally going to be 30sec. Manager said she did not know how to do that and if she goes that route, I wouldn’t get a full refund…. Cancelled the order and walked out. Manager was unwilling to do anything else because she only knew one way very poor manager that day. Blonde hair forgot to get her name.
