I used to recommend this location to others for their helpful and knowledgeable staff, but I can't continue to do so. I've stopped into this location at least 3 times as I work on the same DIY project - painting 4 large pieces MDF furniture. The first stop was to check out color options and ask about the recommended paint, supplies, and prep for the job. I got absolutely no advice or recommendations for application or tools I might need to do the job. The second stop was to purchase the paint and supplies. Once again, not a single salesperson asked about my project or made a single recommendation. When I asked questions about my specific project, I received a blank stare and simply "what color and paint do you want?". They did confirm that the paint I requested was recommended for MDF application. Finally, after being unhappy with the finish on my project, I stopped in to once again try to gain some insight or get recommendations on what I could do to improve it. I was considering a texture additive or drywall compound to create a textured appearance. They just brushed me off with "oh we don't sell anything like that, so we can't help". I assumed the salespeople here were experienced in the business and might have a tip for trying something new and could possibly sell me supplies to complete my project. Apparently not. The service I've received is no better than Home Depot or Lowe's, where I mostly expect a teenager with little or no experience in the paint business. So far, the most helpful and experienced sales person I've talked to has been at Menards. That'll be my recommendation moving forward. 2 stars simply because after my own research, I did buy the correct paint and it worked as advertised.
Edit: I drove a few blocks over the PPG paints and had a great experience.

This has become my new favorite Sherwin by far. The level of customer service iv had so far at this location has been unmatched. This one dude (i think Alonzo is his name) looks to always be giving an extra effort to make customers feel important and appreciated. Give that fella a bonus.

Staff seemed genuinely friendly and easy to chat with, as well as prompt and helpful. Great group of guys working at this location. I normally went to another location, but I think I’ll be returning to this on since the service was great.

This store has the BEST customer service! I have a Sherwin store 5 minutes away, but have had to shop at this store a handful of times because they had what I needed in stock. I will gladly drive the extra 15 minutes to this store for the awesome help I receive as a homeowner.

We have typically only purchased paint from Sherwin-Williams. Paint is of high quality and does the job quickly and easily. Staff is always knowledgeable and helps us make the right decision on type of paint for each specific use.
