I just had breakfast in the marketplace at the Hyvee in West Des Moines, along with my boyfriend and my boyfriends brother. We were taken aback by how poor the service and professionalism was during our time there. The marketplace was very busy, so we knew we were going to have to wait for our food a little longer than usual (which is totally fine - we are understanding people and have worked in the service industry). We sat at our table for roughly 20 minutes before anyone came to give us waters, or even introduced themselves as our sever. We waited patiently for 45min-1hr for our food to come. The food runner was EXTREMELY RUDE and unprofessional. My boyfriends brother has recently had knee surgery and was resting one of his legs up on the booth. When the food runner came with our food, he proceeded to shove my purse across the table and says, "SIT UP, this is not a bed or sleeping area." We were so taken aback at his tone of voice and aggressive behavior that we didn't bother trying to explain that he just had knee surgery. He slammed our plates down in a very aggressive manner and proceeded to make rude remarks about how his leg (which he just had surgery on) was resting on his side of the booth. This food runner was a man, had an accent, and had a slender build, with grey/balding hair. I hope this review can reach someone in management at this Hyvee. I want to reiterate that waiting for a server to come take our order, and the time it took to receive our food, was not the issue here. It was how the staff, specifically the food runner, handled the situation. I can confidently say we will not be returning to this restaurant unless he's gone.

Cheryl Watson the pharmacist is top notch professional, helpful, friendly and approachable! I was in from out of town and with my Mom who needed help with her prescription. Cheryl came out from behind the counter to help communicate with her (91 and hearing problems). She listened to her needs and solved her problem. So kind!!! So kind and I know Mom is in good hands

This is based on their pharmacy. I wanted to look into the vaccination for my parents. I had already called the Jordan Creek location and was given some unicorn and butterfly answer. Maddie at 60th street told me what I should try that actually sounded like a reasonable answer. I'll update this if I find out that she knew exactly what she was talking about, but even if she was wrong, she sounded 100% better than Jordan Creek store di, they could use a training lesson. If you're going to do something, do it right.

Hy Vee MLK has the worst customer service. Waited in line 20 min just to have a snotty girl tell me thy don't do mailing. The whole time she saw me in line she could have said something. No signage to give me information

Putting in all self checks? Seriously. If I wanted to work at you're store I would. If you are putting in self checks why are most items in your store twice to three times higher than Walmart. And on average more expensive than Fareway, who still provides full service at all of they're stores. The one thing you had going for was service and now that is gone. I am done trading at this store.

I went to hyvee again. I wanted to get some meat from the meat department. The guy was cleaning a pan so I waited. A couple walks up and he stops and turns to them and ask how may I help you. My feelings was wtf so I walked away he looked up at me and gave the evil eyes. I went to check out I told the cashier who got her manager and I told him. How rude it was. I really wanted to walk out with not buying anything. I have worked in customer service I truly understand helping a customer when they come up but it wasn’t there for me anyway. Hopefully next time it’s different.
