So small town Iowa does doesn't have the nicest hotels. The service was ok when I checked in. The room was actually clean. Breakfast, we'll you get what you pay for. I post the pictures because first impressions matter. When you first turn on a light switch and one is taped over... that is first impression.

Absolutely terrible service. Owner was kicked back in his seat eating sunflower seeds spitting into his cup. I felt like I was bothering him by coming in, I stood there and he greeted me saying what. Rooms are terrible, everything was dirty 😔

The room really smelled musty. Very very musty. It's an older place, no elevator if that matters to you. A child greeted us, and it took awhile for them to find someone to get us checked in.

A quaint little hotel. Breakfast was not good. A small detail that irritated us, the tv was lower than the bed. Outlets in the lamp didn't work.

Stayed here 3 nights for the Hinterland Music Festival and found it to be absolutely PERFECT for our needs: reasonably priced, 20 minutes away from the festival grounds, clean, and management was second to none.
I almost hate to leave such a good review, for fear others will book ahead of us for next year's festival!

Man at the front desk was rude, he came out in his underwear to check us in. Rooms were dirty. The walls, curtains and bathroom all had a pungent smell. Do not come here. We will not be back.

These rooms are very clean and the owners are so friendly. They are constantly updating and renovating. While I stayed there I watched them replace, acs, carpet on the upper level, toilets. Their breakfast was really good, definitely try the waffle maker! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Horrible place . Front desk workers don’t speak English and they let their little kid run around BAREFOOT. No shoes on and knocking on doors and yelling. They live there so when you need a key at 1 in the morning you have to wake them up and they are in Pjs . Very unprofessional Rooms smells like they haven’t cleaned their mop rag in years 0/10 . Don’t not recommend . Also the guy with the rat tail on his head very rude . I’ll be contacting HR place needs new workers !!!

We found this to be a very good value in a great location. Service and cleanliness are exceptional. The manager was clearly committed to assuring guests are comfortable and happy. Our queen mattresses were exceptionally comfortable. Located in a neighborhood on the edge of the countryside, it’s very quiet.

*Spent 1 night here on April 30.
*Location fine.
*Room near the stairs and on the bottom floor. Footsteps on the stairs and from the room above on the second floor were abnormally loud.
*Room worn, dated and surface clean only (See pictures)
*A side entrance door which was supposed to be accessible only by room key was never locked and accessible at all times by anyone from outside.
*No forks at breakfast - ate a waffle with a knife and spoon.
*We would not return.

Very clean rooms nice comfortable bed, great water pressure and hot water. The staff was very friendly!. Close to 3 of the bridges and downtown.

The Bridges of Madison County was filmed and John Wayne was born here! Not only is it dripping with Hollywood memorabilia, but the staff and rooms are just as spectacular as the decor!
