I had a great experience buying some neat souvenir gifts from the online gift shop! Thank you to the staff (Mary Jane and Mindy) for assisting me! I have yet to visit the museum, and I am very eager to do so when I visit Atchison!

Fantastic museum, a lot of interactive displays, and up to date technology. The staff was amazing they really knew their stuff. The VR flight simulator was great. The focal point of the museum is of course “Muriel” the only remaining Lockheed Electra 10-E in the world. Be sure to check out all the theories of what happened to Amelia and Fred Noonan and vote for what you think happened.

Unfortunately, the hours aren't listed as stated. The museum closes to new visitors earlier than expected, and both Google and the museum's own website fail to inform people of this fact. Once you arrive, you are then refused entry and blamed for not showing up earlier. A real shame, it appears there was a lot of effort put into the renovation.

I meant to add more to this review, so here goes:The staff were INCREDIBLE. Kind and very knowledgeable about every single thing in the museum. There is plenty to do and see. Lots of interactive displays. Incredible amounts of information to be found. I loved seeing all of the pictures and being able to read about Amelia from her childhood years into her piloting years. We did not end up getting to do the VR flight simulator because it was late in the day and the line for the simulator was a bit daunting for me, as I have anxiety issues. The staff absolutely welcomed us to stay and still do the experience, but I chose not to for my own reasons. I have plans to go back and try it out on a different day in the future though, because that sounds so cool!My wife and I had a great time! We can't wait to visit again soon!

This museum was an absolute gem! There was a good sized crowd during our visit but we were able to see and experience everything in the building. We were met by a docent who took the time to explain what we were going to see - with a lot of information about the Electra on display. There are many exhibits covering the life of Amelia Earhart and I learned a lot of things I did not know. My grandson was captivated by the overall experience. Many interactive exhibits to amaze adults and children alike. The gift shop (of course there was a gift shop!) was quite nice with many different items. My grandson asked for a little Lego figure. Overall, I felt the admission price was fair but think that they should offer a discount for veterans and active duty individuals. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

This was an incredible up to date, fun, interactive and immersive experience for all ages. There is so much to do the time will fly by. I highly recommend doing the VR experience as part of your visit. The staff were all great and I didn't encounter a single person who didn't seem like they loved their job. Make this a day trip or add it as a stop if you're traveling through the area. Your family will love it.
