“This is a tough one. I had not been given a day when the crew would come to bury the wires. I worked that day. I had no idea they had arrive until I received a text from the head guy, I suppose, informing me that they had cut the ATT wires. He was inquiring to see if I am still using ATT. If so they needed to fix the wires. I was not still using ATT. I asked them, if they had buried the wire as close to the fence as possible. He said yes they had. They actually were buried quite a distance away from the fence. Where the wires runs is pretty close to being just above or on top of a French drain that runs there. Over last five or six or more years, there have been many reasons for burying wires in our backyard along the fence. So I am quite aware that your yard never looks the same after the dig and bury. A home owners saddness. It is most often done without much care! They must have come in with pretty big equipment! The patio furniture had been moved about even where I would not have expected. I guess I forget or actually gave no thought to all that happens when you change your phone company. I could easily have talked my self out of a switch. My sons recommend the change. So I went with the better choice! I did include a picture of the wire being above ground. We have mowed many many times and it just suddenly appeared. We have no idea if it is an old wire and can be cut and discarded or a wire that needs to be buried. How does one know?”
