“Many in my family have used this bank for years. I love the reliability, the customer service, how the checking account and pretty much everything I normally use my account for is FREE. I'm still surprised some banks charge customers for simple banking actions. I also love how I have an option to donate funds to the Humane Society by using my card everyday. Also, this bank keeps up-to-date on security issues, like if my account info was part of a retail store hack, etc. This bank will send me an update and new card to keep me safe. Love First State Bank & Trust!”

“Great Southern Bank in De Soto, Ks is hands down the best bank ever! The customer service is hands above the rest. We have been going here for many years. Our kids opened up saving accounts when they were young and used to bring their saved dollars in on regular basis. I believe it was Lauren who helped us many years ago. Lauren is amazing! The kids felt so special opening their accounts. Now they are mostly grown or on their way and Great Southern has been a part of this and helped with the transition to different accounts along the way. Great Southern is like family. Jacob is so awesome, smart and has over the top customer service skills. The other day I was in there and he took care of me and 3 cars in the drive thru in a matter of minutes. All with a smile. Super smart and sweet. He knows everyone of our 4 kids names. It goes a long way. Love this bank bc of its employees!! Lauren and the other gals are also Super sweet, as well!! They are very good at their job and very helpful! Love them!!!!! We have also used the Great Southern in Camdenton, Mo at the lake. Also one in St.louis and in Lees summit. All were fabulous so it must be a pre requisite for all employees to be like Jacob, Lauren and the other gals! ! Thank you Great Southern! We are your biggest fan! “Be sure that you are not confusing this bank - CENTRAL NATIONAL BANK - Central Bank, formerly Douglas County Bank. There is a world of difference between the two. Central Bank is the worst bank I have ever experienced, for many reasons.”
