About US Cavalry Museum
The US Cavalry Museum is located on the active military base of Fort Riley in Kansas, requiring a visitor pass for entry. It is a well curated and amazing museum, recently remodeled with fantastic results. The museum features three floors of exhibits with a lot to see, tracing the history of the US Cavalry from before the nation began through all major conflicts right up to its decommissioning. It is very informative with great information, containing plenty of memorabilia, pictures, and little signs. The staff knows many interesting details and is very nice. Visitors can also see the Custer House and walk around the tracks, artillery, and military vehicles outside, near the parade grounds. The museum is a must-see for those who love history, the military, and the country, providing a very beautiful atmosphere. It is highly recommended, with even little kids enjoying the horses, swords, and dress up area. Admission is free.
