1901 Main St, Great BendI bought a few cockatiels and Guinea pigs from there within a span of 9 years, she handles her store very good, she's very kind to the animals and all the animals I got are very well-behaved, so yeah, it's a pretty good store. And the smell is pretty nostalgic.

622 McKinley Street, Great BendI absolutely CANNOT say enough kind words about the the staff, the concern, and the care given here at AMC; specifically, Dr. Katelyn is a complete and utter champ. About three years ago, my Siamese boy developed a condition in which he was self-mutilating, and we tried everything to help him and get him well again. He was just the most amazing, inquisitive, playful, intelligent, and sensitive cat that I've ever been around - personality deluxe model. :) The care here at AMC is hand-down the best in the area; they have resources and methods that won't even be attempted by other vets in the area.
Being from the city and having lived around the U.S., I've been critical at time of some of the resources that Great Bend has to offer, especially when emergencies strike, but AMC is hand-down some of the best veterinary care that I've seen anywhere in my life. After trying and trying the best I knew to figure out what it was that was causing him to so much agony, I finally had to make the excruciating decision to put him to sleep because it was the ethical thing to do. We fought hard for three years, and I just couldn't watch him suffer anymore. I can't say enough about Dr. Katelyn and the staff. The way that they went about the process was nothing short of beautiful, and I was blown away by the compassion. They simply put him under anesthesia first, and he fell asleep in my arms. I held him with his body still warm, and they were so incredibly patient. When I was ready, Dr. Katelyn came in and gave him a second shot that stopped his little heart. I have had to put a couple of other pets to sleep in my life, and one of them was a horror to watch. This was the most beautiful experience for which I could have asked, and my gratitude for the level of care, the methods that we tried, and when it was time, the level of compassion and professionalism by Dr. Katelyn and the staff here can't be explained or uttered with words.
They offered a paw print, pictured in this review, free of charge with other options available at the customer's choosing. Today, I unexpectedly received a card from AMC in the mail, also pictured in this review. I'm literally sitting here writing this review with tears of gratitude and awe in my eyes. They don't just take care of your fur babies here; they also take care of the owners. Thank you all so much, guys.

2920 10th Street, Great BendThis restaurant is the best place to get any meal you want and has breakfast available all day. Very filling portions and great tasting food. A nice mellow environment with friendly servers. The prices are reasonable and fair for the quality of the food. This was my #1 favorite place to eat in town but now it ties with the new IHOP that merged with Applebee's but I won't ever stop coming back here. I definitely recommend this restaurant if your hungry in Great Bend Ks.
