“Years ago, I bought a phone through Verizon wireless. A modest model, and unlimited t-t-data plan. Signed a 2 year contract and agreed to pay a little over $100 per month. First month bill was double that. C.s. tells me it will go down the following month. It went up......and up and up and up every month till I was paying between $300-$400 a month. After 7 months and about $1,300.00 worth of fraudulent fees I threw out the phone in frustration and went to Cricket on a coworkers recommendation. Bought a nice phone and agreed to $55.00 a month for unlimited t-t-data. With the exception of a 5 dollar rate increase after the COVID spending came back to bite us all in the butt, that bill is ALWAYS the same. All while Verizon sent harassing collection letters for years....then one day I got a letter from Verizon saying they were in a class action lawsuit over this and if I sign the enclosed letter saying I won't participate, they will send me FIFTY WHOLE DOLLARS!! LOL (secret time....I didn't sign lol let them get raked through the coals the way they did to millions of us)”
