“This place has it all: a bustling grocery store, freshly made tortillas, a meat market, and excellent food for takeout or counter service with ample indoor seating. I had pork tamales, a taco al pastor, and a chile relleno taco (the first time I’ve had that, although I’ve always loved chile relleno on their own). All was really good: the chile relleno taco was my favorite, the al pastor was missing pineapple (bummer), and the pork tamales were yummy but maybe just a bit on the dry side. The salsa bar had several spicy options and I washed everything down with horchata. Great spot with a busy lunchtime crowd and lots of free parking.”

“Best Taqueria in KC hands down.This place sets the bar for any other place. The tacos are cheap and lots of meat. The meat is flavorful not dry.Me and the wife can eat for less than $25 and be stuffed. I've tried many other Taquerias and none is this good. It's always packed so don't come in a hurry. We've had quick service and at other times very slow, almost forgotten. But it's worth the wait.Try the green jalapeños sauce. It's hot sometimes and other times not, but you can't stop eating it.. The chips are good too. There are many good dishes but we always go back to the street tacos.If you like the green sauce, stop into the store and get you a tub. I always come home with 1.”

“Holy crap.....i didn't know this unassu.ing grocery store has the BEST kind of Mexican food in KC! I just moved back from AZ and had a HARD craving for some good quality tacos! They have it! They even have the authentic chicharrones on the side of the store! I had the lengua tacos...so juicy, so simple! You KNOW its going to be good when you got aunties running around the back of the kitchen! The interior is nothing fancy, just some tables, and they have a self-service at the end of the register. and no you don't have to speak spanish when you order!”
“Ok so this is our new favorite place for meat besides our bulk farmer/processor in warrensburg. The cuts we have gotten have all been great quality. Also, the tamales and pico were both awesome VERY busy on Saturdays & for good reason!”
