Hours are until 8 pm. I arrived at 7:47 pm. There were still customers in the store but the person at the register had locked them door and wouldn't unlock it for me even AFTER I explained I knew exactly what I wanted and where it was.

Went to donate dress clothing this morning at the Lawrence Goodwill. I will never donate there again. I had everything organized, hung on the hangers. The lady who came out to accept the donation was very polite and instructed me that I needed to remove all hangers she began helping me. Then I am guessing a manager came out and went off on both of us about the hangers and instructed both of us that hangers were not allowed. She was yelling that I was holding up the line, threw some hangers in my car grabbing the items that were left, told me to move on. I felt bad that the employee got in trouble. This was high end clothing so I was trying to keep it neat. Never again.

Do not buy electronics from this location, paid 60$ for a sharp stereo system that did not work and they won’t let me return it because I took off the stickers even though I have a receipt and bought it less than 24 hours ago. They said they don’t test things before they put them on the floor… maybe don’t list it in 3 different pieces at a total of 60$ then…

Overpriced. Several items I flipped over had their retail tag but were in heavily used condition, the Goodwill sticker had the same price. Saw a cute plant pot today that still has dirt on it.. retail sticker matched the Goodwill sticker price. Went to discount retailers instead and got better deals.

I've been shopping and donating regularly at Goodwill since 1982, in CA. I understand it's a rough job, I understand the whole thing. Never bothered to write a review until now. LAWRENCE Goodwill will be forever my WORST experience. Male employee, August 2024, name BASIL. I WILL TELL EVERYONE WHO WILL LISTEN (I am a lyft/uber driver) about this place for a long time to come.

If I could write zero stars I could. Worst experience donating stuff ever. Girl in uniform comes out and wants to take our stuff. We start unloading. We have a shelf and a bunch of stuff. They take furniture at this store and large items because they are on the floor(i shop here weekly). She goes and gets help. Two ladies come out NOT IN UNIFORM and snip at us(they werent polite from beginning) and say that they cant take any of our stuff. Its in boxes and organized and ready to go and everything. Tell us that since we put stuff on ground(in boxes because these are fragile items) they cant take it. They stand there arguing with us. Not helping us load back everything back into our car and just stand there. Out of uniform. No idea who these people are. I apologize to the girl(in uniform) because i felt like she was getting brought into this. Im a regular customer. Its 100F outside. I will no longer be shopping or donating from this store. Your surprised im not calling coroprate(update: yes i did), but im way better than that and actually have a life. Do better.

Literally snapped at, trying too bring in donations by some middle-aged Karen in a vest because I leaned on a cart with a 70lb box of clothes. Yikes.

I have donated a lot of stuff to Goodwill over the past year, but NEVER AGAIN. I’m very busy throughout the day usually, so I decided to drop some stuff off at Goodwill tonight after they were closed. I then see this sign! I’m amazed that a company that relies on 100% donations to survive is this petty about dropping items off after hours! I encourage everyone to find other places to donate their items! Thanks!

Got lots of stuff. They like it so much they over price their donations so they can keep it.

The prices are outrageous. $5 for a child's T-shirt when you can go to Walmart or target and buy a brand new shirt for that. I have seen clothes marked up past what they were originally sold for. Pathetic ripping people off on things you get for free especially since a lot of those people have donated to your store. There is nothing good about goodwill anymore.

Honestly they had a few good things here the 2 times I went for prices that were much better than Savers. STILL TOO EXPENSIVE considering they get the stuff for free and abuse their employees, very un-Christlike.

Typical Goodwill. No place to try on clothes when I went by, though.

So Greedwill is turning away donations bc they have too much stuff. Here’s an idea- LOWER YOUR PRICES- ppl will buy your junk and you will have more room. Problem solved.
