I needed an upgraded laptop so he had one he was refurbishing. I am in the process of losing my job and had already updated my resume and cover letter prior to taking the laptop to him. He wiped my old hard drive clean without transferring all of my documents from my old computer to my new one. I lost a lot of stuff. He then proceeded to argue with me that nothing was on the desktop when I had had that computer for eight years and in fact, there were several documents on the desktop. He set me back a lot of time and effort, both of which I don’t have. Would not recommend

Daniel and me went AlphaGeek to look for a charger for my lap top. Mr Timothy Swan was looking all over the place to try to help us. Forgot it was a Holiday that day and ever thing was close. So went back and he found the charger he was looking for. He told me how much it would cost. Told him I would be back the next day. He let me take home and the day I played him. He also showed me his work for other customer's. That was kinda cool.

Timothy provides a detailed and expert level experience with his expansive knowledge of computers. I came in originally to upgrade our laptop, and left with a superb, brand new gaming laptop, one that he advised us to buy. We are very satisfied with the service and the quality of it as well. Yes he may be conversational, but I see nothing wrong with that, and actually appreciate the friendly chats. My boyfriend and I plan to continue using this great service for continuous care of our equipment. I highly recommend.

Said he would save my files but saved less than ten percent of them. After installing a new windows, the computer didn't work right. I had to get someone else to fix his work.

Things that need to be done without your tech savvy knowledge will cost you where ever you go. This guy isn’t the answer. Bunch of nonessential apps your computer doesn’t need. Time spent waiting for a software update that takes a few hrs not a few days. Overpriced for upgrades that are literally plug and play. Not recommended for anything unless you know very little about computers.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go to Alpha Geek!! I stopped going to him a while back because I didn't trust him after he told my daughter he couldn't fix her computer and recommended that she purchase one of his refurbished computers. We come back to his store a few days later and he's using her nice computer that he claimed he couldn't fix!! I recently took my computer to a new shop and discovered there were ALOT of things WRONG with my computer, to includedefected parts!

honestly, the owner is a nice guy but what was supposed to be a 10 minute errand turned into an hour just because he was talking to me. i was actually late to an event afterwards because i didn't want to be rude and tell him to stop talking. i don't know what "unique" clutter looks like, but i was uncomfortable with the amount of clutter in the store. it didn't even look like a store but more like a hoarder's house. i could barely walk without either bumping into something or feeling like i was going to knock something over. there were no working lights except for the owner's computer in the back of the store and the windows are covered up in the front. dark and cluttered is not what a store should look like.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT ever buy a refurbished computer from this guy. I had a problem with mine within 2 weeks, of course MY porblem was not covered by the warranty. (All his sales are final and he only deals in cash no paper trail He told us " I'm not a rent a center".) He does not give you paperwork. So if you do get something from him ask for a receipt and paperwork and a copy of the warranty (if he has such a thing) so you know what is and isn't covered. Aslo he made me feel like he wanted control on what progams I have on MY computer and how to set it up.

The gentleman in the store was very nice, and although he was unable to fix the issue with my computer, he attempted to repair it the entire day and then pointed me in another helpful direction when I came to pick the computer up.
