“Love Geekery! They have a good selection of things for games, great selection if you play WH (I do not but there is lots there) and a ton of paint. They have a great racks of Vallejo, Army Painter, and Citadel paints. Amazing selection if you are looking for contrast paints. There is also a large selection of hobby supplies.
Big bonus is that The Geekery has an amazing gaming space! There are LOTS of tables, many very large and they are free to use. You can also bring in your own food and drink too! However, if you don't, snacks (and small food selection) are wonderfully priced.
You will not be disappointed with Geekery!”

“It's been a while since I was at the Michael's on Shawnee Mission Parkway, but I was pleasantly surprised on this visit.
While gathering supplies for a project, I had been to two other craft/hobby stores in the area with little luck. Michaels had the biggest selection by far of acrylic hobby paints, and I was able to get the color varieties I needed.
I was approached twice to ask if I was finding everything. The second time, I did need help finding a couple of paint brushes. The associate walked me to the section and helped me look for the specific brushes. When we couldn't find one of the items I was after, she searched her handheld for inventory and found that another location carried the brush. She asked if there was anything else I needed, then helped with that item as well.
Once I got to registers, I found more friendly associates there. All staff that I encountered were friendly, helpful and, as strange as it sounds to notice this, seemingly happy! I'll definitely visit this Michael's first for my next craft/hobby needs.”

“I walked in and was greeted immediately by the two people out in front. These people were kind and knowledgeable. I asked what they had in stock, and they showed me and explained all of their items. They were happy to let me look and hold the cards in the glass case. I was impressed by some of the cards they had for sale. They told me that they used TCGPlayer and assured me that I would be getting a fair price. Upon inquiry of appraising cards, they both told me of various ways I may get my card valued, and they even offered to confirm certain attributes of my card. All in all, great service, great selection, and the personnel were invested in the customer and happy to help.”
“My experience is that this is a "quiet" store, and usually easy to get into and out of without a lot of hassle.
There is plenty of parking, but as typical with an underused parking lot, it's not in the greatest shape.
All that said, I prefer the store for the speed and product selection. And it's on my daily route.?”
“Full disclosure I'm not a frequent shopper at craft stores and I tend to visit when I have something very specific in mind that I need to pick up. On this occasion, I was on the hunt for some fake foliage for centerpieces at an upcoming party. When I walked in, it was as if nothing had changed in the five years or so since I'd last visited. It had that same craft store smell, the same layout, and much to my delight the same outrageous sales happening all over the store. I was able to snag a ton of fall themed foliage at quite the steal of a price, which was a welcome surprise. I never like how they try to sell you on a credit card a checkout but that's somewhat par for the course at big box stores these days. At any rate, I was in and out pretty fast and would return next time I need something like this in the future.”

I didn't expect to become a regular, but between their 'wall of fame' and their ever turning inventory, there's always something that I can add to my collection or just get information on. Regardless of coins, stamps, or currency they're very knowledgeable and extremely fair. They have the highest level of testing to ensure a piece of mind for all their customers. Nothing compares to buying from other collectors.”
“Connie and her staff restored my mom’s Shirley Temple doll, I was in really bad condition, I received by doll make and I was totally amazed at the job they done. She now is displayed for all my granddaughters to see! My mom would have been so happy to see her first toy and only doll she ever got as a child to look so beautiful!!! Thanks”
