“Great friendly people who help those in need for many reasons: Pantry, Utilities hot meals etc. They have help me and my family a few times! Ase'(thanks!) I highly recommend !”
“truly the best thrift store in greater KC area. other local thrift shops, even other church run thrift shops, it’s almost as if they forget that the people who benefit most from 2nd hand shops are underprivileged families who can’t afford brand new everything. this place gets it right. such fair prices. even their boutique section, is fair and affordable. giving a safe space for families, especially middles class and families below the poverty line, to shop in dignity. to receive affordable, quality pieces. i truly had pretty much given up hope at thrift stores, it gotten to the point where it was significantly cheaper to just buy new at places like target at tj maxx, but turnstyles restored my faith. seriously, this is how real charities who genuinely care about helping their local community should always be. other thrift stores; local, and chains, charge $12+ for a old stained chiefs shirt, simply because it’s chiefs. here, almost all clothes with the exception of a few “boutique” pieces are all marked the same price. every t-shirt is the same price ($2.99), every pair of leggings, same, every jacket, same etc. absolutely no price gouging. i know it sounds silly, but it almost made me emotional that i was able to basically get everything i wanted without having to get out a calculator and narrow it down to 2 or 3 pieces. thank you for providing a clean, and organized space where everyone can afford to shop. you truly are giving back to your community, and are the definition of charity.”
“I've been to Annie's a few times to buy and sell have never had a problem with customer service or not getting products returned back if not bought I think Annie and her staff are great and will continue to buy and sell and refer others to her.”
“They have a fantastic selection of kids clothes for great prices (speaking to baby items specifically which are $2-3 per piece. This is much better than typical pricing of $4 or up each at Salvation Army, etc). I've found bamboo high end brands like Posh Peanut here along with Janie and Jack, Cat & Jack Target, Carter's, Walmart brand (wonder something). On Wednesdays they are an extra 20% off!! I highly recommend, it's my fav thrift store for kids clothing. I like to go in each month to see what's new. Staff are also very friendly. No reason to pay $15 and up per item new that gets worn for a month or some months. My 2nd favorite is Maj-R-Thrift in Grandview ( 1500 Main St) huge selection, great prices. Worth the drive. They display by color not size which isn't my fav. They run 50% off entire store sales on memorial day/labor day etc if you're in their text or free rewards club. For seasonal consignment mega sales Rhea Lana is great. I've purchased all my strollers that way. Just Between Friends has better prices but check out lines are at least 1 hour to get through every time not making it worth it to me.”
“Love Turn Styles! We go there a lot now. Their prices are very good. We’ve purchased some furniture and lamps and clothes and shoes. I took my daughter there and she even found a set of golf clubs she wanted! Now she takes her daughter there. Great place to shop.”
“The staff at this location is absolutely incredible. Every single person that works there always has a smile on their face and is always happy to greet you. I lost my phone today and had it not been for such an attentive staff and the idea to turn off the overhead music, I wouldn't have found my phone and I'm so grateful and thankful. Even the shoppers there stopped to help me.”
“Saver’s on Shawnee Mission Parkway has an assortment of different types of things. I found this kids growth ruler, and turning it into a Liar’s Fishing Ruler for tall tales ?”
“I always leave here spending more money than I intended. Good for them bag for me. The staff is always friendly and helpful... Make sure you sign up for the rewards! The fact that something is on sale everyday is a plus for me too.”
“DAV Chapter #2 is among the best veterans service organizations in Kansas City. Because of this, my slightly used donations are usually delivered here.
Additionally, Red Racks has had a very long history at this location. Their displays are exceptional. However, like most businesses, some staff are friendly, and others definitely should not work with the general public, especially veterans!
Overall it's a very cool place for reasonable purchases or simply a walk-through. And, hopefully, you won't encounter any rude staff.”

“I rated 5 stars, not because I had a good experience ? but only because the Salvation Army helps a lot of people. But the truth is that I had a bad experience here today.I will still support this ministry and I will like to think that the lady (I think the supervisor) had a bad day and I understand that, but I will like to suggest her to be professional at all times, even If she's dealing with a difficult customer (In this case, probably me).I went to pay a lot of stuff (a lot) and I went to pay with my card but apparently there was an error. The cashier (I think she was new) had to swipe the car twice and I saw that the computer said the remaining balance is $40 approx from a $65 something, so she called the supervisor and I got an email from my PayPal account saying that I paid the amount of 20 something, (have to check again for the exact amount) and I got the email twice. So the supervisor told her that she had to press cash and then card and told me that I had to pay the full amount again. I told her that I already paid half of the amount but the cashier pressed something and it was asking me to pay everything again. I got worried and showed her my receipt but she told me that it wasn't correct because it said Kansas City and not Olathe, but the receipt was indeed from Olathe. So the supervisor got frustrated and kept saying that I didn't pay anything and I had to pay everything again because her computer was indicating to her that I didn't pay anything. At this point, I could've paid with another car or maybe cash but I wanted to check why I received the receipt from a payment and of course I didn't want to pay twice. So the line was really big, and not because of me because the cashier was really slow entering everything in the computer+ discounts from purple tags 50% off, but the supervisor told me: If you're going to check with your bank, go do whatever you have to do but, you have to get out of the line because we have customers waiting"I'm thinking to myself: So, I'm not a customer? Wow I felt so embarrassed by the way she talk to me in front of everyone, and believe me, the store was full. She treated me like a lier and at this point I told her to make a refund of what I paid, believe I really wanted to leave that place but I needed help with my situation that it wasn't my fault either. She told me that she couldn't refund anything because I didn't pay for anything. Okay, my best option was sitting down and contact my bank, by my surprise I had two transactions with the same amount but they were cancelled and I showed her my phone with the evidence that they were cancelled. I told her that I wasn't going to buy anything because the line was huge and she didn't even tried to assist me next, I noticed that her intentions were to have me do the line all over again wishing for me to get out of the store, so I told the cashier that was behind her, no is okay I'll go but thank you. Don't get me wrong, I've never seen her before, she might be a great person and maybe she had a bad day, maybe my haircut gives a wrong impression because is the Karen haircut, who knows? But she could've just given me a better customer experience and said something like: I'm sorry for your bad experience, I really want to help you, can you wait until we help the other customers to better assist you? She was supposed to find an answer or act like she was trying, just to make me think she cared. If you don't like your job, it not the customer's fau, never take it out on the customers and customers are not your enemy either. Customers help you to bring food to your table ?You have to be on your customers shoes and understand that just like you, we have to work hard and sometimes we make a sacrifice to buy clothes, food and stuff because everyone is in the same boat of inflation (or resesion whatever this is) and may those $20 dollars mean that now I have less money that I might not be able to recover. Sorry if I offended you, it wa”
“This place is awesome! I found some absolute gems. A throwback KU basketball jersey from the 1988 national championship year with a championship patch on it and everything. 2 Peter Millar pullovers for 1/3 of the price that you will typically see online. I will be coming back here first before shopping for any expensive clothing in the future. Great deals and great stuff!”
“Was on a mission today and since Savers is filled with donations, there's never any guarantee of finding what you're after. Today was a bonus day! After all that I've been seeing and reading about plastics and microplastics in our bodies, I am systematically ditching the plastics I have pertaining to food. My mission was to find extra silverware, actually stainless steel, inexpensively so I could throw out and not use or again buy plastic cutlery. What I found will work great! It's certainly not 18/8 but it's a decent weight and I think will be fine for the purpose I intend it. The bonus was finding a beautiful long sleeve cotton plaid ladies Chaps shirt in colors that make me think of a fall sunset (or sunrise)! So excited to get it washed, ironed with just the right amount of London laundry's Ironing Spray ... and wear it! $5.49! I think it's going to be my choice for the next sunflower field I visit! Okay now”
“Your employee Korie was amazing this morning. She treated me with absolute respect, got my donations handled and was a joy to be around. Thank you Korie and your team, you all were amazing!”
“I have been to this location frequently as of late. Bree and Christian have both been exceptionally helpful. They are both very professional, courteous and clearly have bright futures ahead. The store itself is clean, well organized and I have always been able to find good value here. Outstanding!!!!”
“Donation process was flawless and it works like a drive thru: you drive the car into a garage-like and staff come to pick your stuff up. Very friendly folks took care of everything.”
“I had a great experience at this Goodwill. I brought in a carload of donations on the coldest day. A boy named Santiago came right out. He loaded my donations into the basket -heavy ones first- and was very careful with the breakables, which he put on top. All the while, he worked quickly with a positive attitude. Integrity like that is hard to come by. I will return with more donations and business!”
“Most of the prices wear pretty good and the selection of clothing had a wide range. Furniture and electronics wear pretty bare, but got a great genuine leather jacket for $25 and the staff was nice so you can't beat that!”
“I like going here, however I lost my sentimental value bracelet, brown and gold , circle like if anybody found it pls return to me . Looks like this but it’s bracelet”
“Oh my goodness, what a gem this place is! We came to Shawnee on a whim on our last night in Kansas City, Mo. bc I wanted to go to Dutch Bros., and City Thrift was still open. Wow! What a great and huge thrift store, and none of our thrift stores in the Twin Cities in Mpls have affordable vintage out all year long, typically only at Halloween. Its a bummer not having dressing rooms when we are from out of town and can't return or exchange things, but it doesn't even matter because it was such an incredible accidental find. My thrift loving daughters and I were over the moon.”

“Stopped in to grab a quick last minute outfit and was presently surprised to find a couple dresses and a purse for under $30. Thank you to J, who was very polite and accommodating for me.”
“Pretty neat store. They have a lot of used items and a lot of new items, donated mostly. I found something I wasn't looking for, which was a bucket of paint. At check out they told me there is a 30 day return policy, So if I don't quite like the paint I can bring it back. The paint I get for a great deal a gallon for $11. They have furniture, lights, bathroom stuff, chairs, tables, dining room sets, TV stands, etc. Eve some free items. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful.”
