Terrible! Been a customer for yeeeears. Probably 10 or more. Was on a very cheap plan that I had to change in July. Spent an hour or so on the phone with them deciding the best plan. I told them I work from home, we do not have cable but we have streaming services, and gamers in teh family. They said best deal will be $70. Ok, sounds good. Paid that bill for 2 months then suddenly I'm being charged $100 more for USAGE FEES. Going over my data limit....on my home internet service. I have NEVER dealt with limits on home service, even with Cox. I can prove it on my statements. Suddenly it shows up and we maxed out the overages for $100 extra, both last billing cycle and this. Customer service refused me a refund of the overage charges, even if I moved to an unlimited plan. (WHY WAS I NEVER TOLD THERE WAS SUCH A LIMIT WHEN I MADE IT CLEAR WE USE A LOT OF INTERNET). On top of that, since we moved, our service experiences interruptions 2-3 times PER DAY. Typically it goes out and comes back up within minutes, but that's long enough to throw you off a work zoom meeting. To be clear, we moved DOWNTOWN. So you would think if anything we would have better service.
Cox must be getting desperate because they are obviously being sneaky and slimy to get that money. Thankfully, ATT fiber will be installed Tuesday, NO OVERAGES, 80 bucks a month. Much faster. Bye Cox.

I’ve never paid so much for so little internet.. I pay $120 a month for 500mbps but when I test my internet connection I’m sitting at a solid 3mbps…….. In my opinion it’s a huge scam. My internet is down at least a few days a week, and when I call to get my issue resolved I get told other customers in my area are also dealing with network issues. Then when I complain that I haven’t had internet in a whole week they respond by giving me $4 credit for each day my internet is out. I’d rather them take my $4 credit per day and put it towards making their service as it’s advertised. Cox is a joke and if I could give it lower than a 1 star I wouldn’t hesitate just like the rest of the customers that has had the unfortunate experience of using cox.

Would rate it below 0 stars if possible. Unfortunately Cox has been the only internet service provider I have been able to acquire as no other providers are in my area. The service is pathetic, I occasionally receive messages about how I have just been given an upgrade to my internet speed and rates, however I have yet to notice any change. My internet goes out roughly 7-8 times a day (I have a stable router) and makes it a hassle to do anything online related. They charge a ridiculous amount of money in comparison for the service they offer. For the past 6 months I have began just using my cellular data to do anything online when using my phone. 0/10, I wouldn't let my dog use this internet service.

Cox has more issues with internet outages than any company I've bought internet through. Their customer service is generally unhelpful and ilinformed. They told me for 2 months that they do not provide internet in my area. Customer service did not believe that all of my neighbors had cox and told me that I would need to find another internet service. After several months, trouble tickets and hours on the phone, they realized all they need to do was run a line to my house.

I got forced into a data cap by paying my bill. This business is a monopoly. They do whatever they want with no regards to human rights. Now I pay for Internet I can't use half the month.

Highest price I've ever paid, and it's for the least reliable service I've ever had. Also, when you call to disconnect your service, log in online and make sure it says that the service is disconnected at the top of the page. I canceled my service, then received a bill for $160 the following month. I called to ask about it, and they stated that there was no log on their end of me ever calling them to disconnect it. I responded that I have record of the call on my phone, to which they told me to "go ahead and play the recording of (me) asking to disconnect the service." I clarified that I had record as in call logs, not recordings. I gave the exact date, time, and duration of the call, and they stated that there is no record of that call on their system. Which means that I called them, spoke to someone who took my name, phone number, address, and PIN number (after the automated system had already done so), on a phone system that says that calls are monitored or recorded, and somehow there is no record of my call? Shady business.
I've filed a complaint with the BBB and suggest that anyone else who has this problem (there are a few other reviews about this exact scenario) do the same.

I was having trouble with my network for weeks, and a representative named Nyasia was able to help me in 10 minutes. She said she didn’t work at this store, so if whoever reads these could pass along that she was fantastic, I would appreciate it.

Absolutely hate that there is such a monopoly on internet providers and the fact that you have to pay an arm and a leg for decent speeds with cox is beyond ridiculous

Would not recommend. They'll charge you extra even after you've already disconnected your service. Very shady and illegal. So many people have filed complaints for them doing this to them. Disconnected my service back in May and got a bill for June when I had already paid my final bill before May ended.
