“The good: I'm impressed with DG's push to expand food selection in towns without grocery stores. Great selection of frozen meals from breakfast through dinner. Good dairy case.
The bad: Specials tagged on shelves don't always ring up correctly (example: buy two get $7 discount) and only the store manager can correct the over-ring. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE. This error can occur at any retailer, it's not just a DG issue.”
“This is a comment to a previous post. If the cashiers do not use the intercom and ask for backup, then the managers can't help out if they don't know that the cashiers need backup. They are extremely busy stocking shelves for the customers. Give them a break. I, myself, have seen longer lines at McDonald's.”
“I went into Dollar General today to buy plush throw blankets to go into gift bags for Veterans that the Greenleaf American Legion is giving out during the holidays this year. I had already been to 4 other Dollar Generals in 3 surrounding counties. I had bought around 4 to 5 blankets at each store however the young man that rang me up at this Dollar General had asked me what I was buying the blankets for. I told him & he was so generous in giving me a discount because it was going to American Veterans. And it just so happens to be Veterans Day today. I thanked him and I hope more people can do just a little more in their daily life to help out our Veterans. God Bless America!”

“First time here in Manhattan, KS and this DT has so much stuff and was so cute. 4-star as things were all over the place and plastic bowls/tops were not together. I ended up trying over 7 different tops/bowls, I was there forever but the employees were so nice and upbeat. Reall good selection than what we have in TN.”
