Our apartment was infested with roaches the first night we were there. Luckily we were able to get out of our lease because it was uninhabitable. We should’ve paid more attention to the reviews on here as it would’ve saved us time and money.

Fix the dryers in the buildings and especially 12265, but fix them well, winter is coming and it is not possible that we do not have operational dryers. Several times I have given money away on them and it is not fair.

Black mold, leaking roof in bedroom and living room. Put in a request for someone to fix the issue. No one ever came by. I called for months and each time they said someone would come by. Never happened. I even went in person and still no one came by. Shoes in the closet grew mold and so did the carpet. I emailed it to them and they never responded. Also it’s infested with roaches. Our decor is ruined from the roaches. I addressed all of my issues via telephone and via email. Getting ahold of someone by phone is VERY difficult. Empty promises and never any action to fix any issues or even come by to check out the mold. Oh yeah and they shorted me on my deposit, after I was told I would get it back m. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this horrible place.

Very bad services and disrespectful workers...no respect for the customer and the houses are old and in poor condition. The air conditioners are broken and there is no repair...the repairman is disrespectful and impolite...I do not recommend this residence at all for living...I am forced to stay because of my contract. They still have a long term problem. Unfortunately, I am very annoyed with these people

edtoy so tired I'm infested with cockroaches!! They have already come several times just to spray poison and it has no effect. I have a two-month-old baby and a 9-year-old girl. You can't live like this and you can't walk calmly because you step on one of these bugs! everything is bad since they changed my contract because the apartment I requested was not ready and they offered me this one in which I am all dirty with a musty smell, the toilet full of tartar and old, the kitchen old, the oven dirty and the drawers in the kitchen kitchen moth-eaten and old, they only painted the doors to look new, according to them, when I arrived at this apartment there were already traces of cockroaches, I went to miss witney and she sent someone, I moved here from another state and I have not found peace of mind, I have cried in the kitchen but apparently they don't care about their tenants I'm on medication due to the stress of dealing with the cockroaches I should be enjoying my baby and instead I'm suffering my rent is about to expire and I've asked to move units it's not my fault the infestation and I have no answers, the cockroaches climb into the crib into my baby's closets, my oldest daughter's, they are everywhere I am going to have to throw everything away and who will pay for all of that for me, I am very tired of all of this. I have family to go and get out of here, a total disappointment!!

This is going to be long but please please please take the time to read this before signing anything with these guys. I'll give them a single star because the apartments are decently spaced out, but that's as nice as this review will go. When my husband and I moved in we already were off on the wrong foot because they weren't even ready for us to move in. Carpets weren't cleaned and it didn't look like the apartment itself was even cleaned period. It had a weird musty smell to it that later was easily explained. My husband and I tried to keep hopes up, until we started settling in and documenting everything we found in the apartment. Then we found black mold all over both AC vents, the air vents, there was crazy mineral deposits on both sink faucets (at least I hope they were mineral deposits.) No one should live in a mold infested apartment but especially me who was 4 months pregnant at the time and we had planned to bring a new born into this apartment. We tried calling maintenance as soon as we could, mind you this was after hours, but no one picked up. Wedid not stay in the apartment that night, or ever. The next day we went to the front desk and they immediately sent someone out and we were told they'd "clean" it but after this round it's on us as tenants to keep the mold away. (Side note if you're reading this and live there please look at your AC vents.) I thought keeping AC vents clean and functional was on landlords and that common sense but not to these guys. Their version of "cleaning" the vents was just spray painting over the mold. So after some back and forth the manager let us out of the lease contract. We got all of our own stuff moved out and decontaminated the proper way by May 31st and turned in our keys. After that we started getting emails that we were not in contempt for canceling our renters insurance on that apartment (as one should) after the 1st of June. After some more back and forth and calls we were told that the charge for not having renters insurance will be reversed. They did not do this, why? Because I got a call from collections requesting us to pay the fine for not having renters insurance after June 4th. Apparently they had reported that we were supposed to be responsible until June 4th which was not our agreement. After threatening to take this further that was when they dismissed the charge. I hate writing bad reviews in general and this is the first for an apartment complex but for your own health and mental sanity please find elsewhere to live.

Just moved in June 5th, 2024. I have stayed at my apartment less than 4 nights. It was cooler the first couple of nights and I didn’t realize the AC was not working properly. Fast forward to the next week it’s summer it’s really hot out and guess what my AC does not cool. So I put in a maintenance service request on the 12th and go stay at another location for a couple days thinking they would come fix it and I wouldn’t have to live in a unit thats 82-90 degrees. I come back the following Monday and it still isn’t fixed so I call the maintenance guy and he rudely answers doesn’t ask for my name or unit number and says it will be fixed in a couple of days. So then I call the front office and tell them about my problem and she tells me he is the only maintenance person and she will make sure he gets to it that day after his current call. I think go stay at my other location 2 hours away hoping it is resolved in a couple days. Fast forward to the 24th (today) I am going to go talk with them in person about why this hasn’t been fixed and how we can resolve the situation. Do not rent here! Avoid it at all costs.

As of 5/28/24 at 107pm. I guess what past tenants have stated is true. I received a call and a bill stating I owed over $400 for back rent and no one has returned my calls.
The main office told me to check with staff at JOTL and staff at JOTL are never available or don't answer the phone.
I guess this is the price you pay when you have to deal with insects and nasty neighbors. Let alone spend your own money on Ortho trying to keep the roaches at bay.
I actually give this community 0 stars, but I had to select at least one.
Great community if you like ROACHES. I spend $40 - $50 per month on Ortho trying to treat the unit and they just keep coming back. Most of the ROACHES are coming from the bathroom, the area around the dishwasher and out of the piping. I am a bit OCD so I’m constantly cleaning and making sure everything is spotless. I also use baking soda and vinegar for the pipes on a weekly basis just to keep the gunk cleaned out in the pipes. I keep all sinks plugged with stoppers because it’s annoying to find a bug in the sink on some mornings. This place is infested and needs to be treated. It’s so bad that I no longer cook at home and haven’t in the past 3 months. Yes, I’ve reported this to the office, and they sent exterminators out to set traps, but they never returned to check the traps. I eventually ended up tossing the traps on my own and continued treating the unit twice a week with Ortho like I’ve been doing since day one.
4 weeks ago, teenagers at the complex destroyed the laundry room and the damage has yet to be fixed. The neighbors are filthy and don't clean up after themselves when unloading the dryer therefore the laundry room is always a complete disaster, but what do you expect when you have a management team that doesn't care about the complex. The young lady across the hall and myself should not have to sweep out the laundry room or clean the gunk off the washer/dryer and sweep debris such as leaves and trash from the step area and walkways leading to our doors/laundry room each weekend. The staff keeps the front portion looking nice to reel people into applying for a unit, but the rest of the community is a total disaster.
There is also a homeless man that sleeps in the laundry room every evening. He usually arrives after 9p and is asleep in the laundry room when I take my dog out at 4am. I was told that it is known that homeless people are on the grounds looking for a place to sleep but they’ll check into it.
The maintenance guy is a complete joke because he seems to be upset whenever he’s asked to fix something or questioned about the completed work that looks as if a Kindergartner fixed it, so I just fix items or try to make it presentable myself. I guess all he wants to do is ride around on a golf cart and talk in the middle of the street to people that give him the time of day.
I’ve been reading the remarks online lately about how the management company does not return deposits for reasons that I believe are asinine. Deposits should be returned to residents that move out especially if they are a bit OCD like me and had to deal with the issues that I have mentioned above.
I'll be moving out of this complex soon and I am totally thankful to move out. I will be leaving this unit exactly how it was given to me with the exception that it is much cleaner. I wouldn't recommend this location to my worst enemy.

Huge waste of time. Scheduled a viewing here a week in advance and showed up 15 minutes early just to be told we wouldn’t be able to see a unit. The employee who was supposed to take us around yelled across the office she was busy and couldn’t do it. The other gal showed us a virtual tour….. that’s readily available online. Yikes.

The worst people. I live in Nebraska try to rent the apartment here. Drive 3 hours to get here and set up appointment for the tour with the front desk. The day come and I drive down here again. Half way to the apartment and they email me saying my appointment is canceled, they can’t show me the apartment today. I scheduled another appointment at 11:30 on the website that they create. Next day I drive down there again for my appointment, 11:25 I tell the lady in the front desk I have an appointment for tour. She say “I don’t see any appointments for 11:30.”
This place can not take people seriously or they don’t like to do business. I wish I can give ZERO(0) Star for this place.
