About The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center
The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center is a thrift store supporting a well-regarded ministry that helps many people. Customers report finding desirable items during shopping trips and note that the cause is great. Some experiences with customer service are positive, with mentions of friendly staff who are very nice to locals. However, numerous reviews detail consistently poor donation and checkout experiences. Donors frequently report a lack of assistance at the donation area, even when staff are present, with instructions simply to leave items in bins without a thank you. The donation area is also described as having awful potholes. Checkout can be problematic, with reports of slow transaction processing, computer errors leading to double charges, and long lines. Several reviews cite unprofessional and frustrating interactions with staff, including instances where customers felt embarrassed, treated like liars, or were told to leave the line while resolving payment issues. This has led some donors to take their contributions elsewhere. The overall suggestion from reviewers is that the store could gain more donations and improve customer satisfaction by offering a better, more assisted donation experience and more patient, professional customer service during transactions.
Amen to this place a couple of times. Always seem to find a couple items that I don't feel like I can live without. Friendly customer service. And they are very nice to the locals.

I just love the fact that they're still here doing the good work. Proud to have them in my neighborhood.

Just donating. Very easy drop off. Will visit again. Haven't ever been inside the actual store, but seems nice.
