With over $200 million in assets, Capitol Federal opened its second branch in Kansas City at 95th and Nall in December 1962. In late 1968, celebrating its 75th anniversary, Capitol Federal unveiled its newly constructed five-story building - highlighted with blue mosaic tiles imported from Italy - introducing it as Capitol Federal's new Johnson County Headquarters. When the first Nall Hills branch was being demolished, branch services were maintained in a temporary trailer with a drive up.
