The Museum at Prairiefire is a beautiful and spectacular building with interesting colors. It is a nice little educational building featuring a towering Tyrannosaurus rex, colossal sea creatures, and soaring reptiles from Kansas’s ancient past. The dinosaur exhibit is well done with interesting information. The museum offers animal encounters, dinosaur digs, and Virtual Reality missions to Space. General admission, which is a reasonable price, grants access to all halls, exhibitions, a Discovery Room, and Virtual Reality. Tickets are $5 for adults, children, and seniors, with veterans and active military admitted free. Passes are also available from local libraries. The staff are nice. The experience can vary. Some find it very small, essentially a one-room museum, and it may lack content for older children. Younger children approximately 6 and under often enjoy the interactive exhibits and the kids center upstairs where they can touch everything. However, educational guided tours can sometimes disappoint, with guides speaking above students' heads. It is recommended to visit on weekends, as many things are closed off on weekdays without prior warning. The website and staff knowledge regarding online tickets can be unclear. While the name suggests a focus on prairie ecology, the museum does not feature exhibits on prairie fires or that habitat.
Very small one room museum. My preschoolers liked that they could touch everything at this museums. We used our pogo passes to get in. However, You can get free family pass from the Bonner spring and Olathe library for admission too.

It was a cool place to visit but it doesn't have a very user friendly layout. I felt like it there wasn't very much content to view and I think it is more focused on children. Visiting it as a couple didn't feel like it was worth the time. I hope that they continue to grow and improve with more exhibits.
