“My words really will not adequately convey how much I love and appreciate Kids at Heart. The owners, Bergen and Casey, along with longtime director Kim, have built such an amazing community there and you really feel like family. Every teacher knows all of the students by name (even ones not in their class) and it’s so reassuring knowing that my child is cared for by so many people. You’d think drop offs would be a disaster but my daughter actually reaches for her teachers when we arrive which really goes to show how much the kids love being there!! My absolute favorite has to be the footprint and handprint art that we have collected. Thank you for sending home art that I actually want to keep ;). Seriously, we love you KAH and you will always hold a special place in our hearts!!”

“First of all, thank you so much Canterbury ❤️My little girl is completing one year here. Since it was her first school, she was crying literally every day for almost 3 months. The amazing teachers are taking care of her very well. They gave advice to us and by following that we could see improvements in her behaviour. Now she is very happy to go to school and meet her friends and teachers. I must say that the teachers are very patient. I really like activities like maths puzzles, alphabet puzzles etc.Moreover, the teachers are receiving the kids with a happy face and hugs ?The management is also good. They are conducting events in which parents can also join.They are sending daily updates with photos, which I would really like to see.I am happy to send my little girl to these amazing people.”

We have unfortunately aged out of their program but we had such a good time here, we just moved to the kc area and childcare can be really stressful here so I am super grateful to have found them. “Over 20 years ago I was single and new to the city. While looking for a church home, my first experience was Christmas Eve at Rolling Hills. I felt the spiritual warmth that evening. I begin attending Sunday service, and was immediately blanked with its members hospitality. Within a month, I was asked if I’d consider being a deacon. It was the best “yes” I could’ve imagined. The amount of new friends and new ministries that came from that one “yes” are staggering. “Our kids love attending Special Beginnings. We love that they are a faith based daycare that teaches the kids how to pray and allows them to celebrate religious holidays. All of the teachers take the time to get to know each kid. It really has a community/family feel! They have really neat playgrounds outside for all the different age groups, and they feed the kids great snacks and lunches during the day. I would recommend this daycare to family and friends!”

“We are so grateful we are able to send our kiddo here. We are very lucky to live nearby and I’ve been able to go everyday to breastfeed my child over my lunch break. A delightful but unintended consequence of this is that I get to spend time each day in his classroom interacting with his teachers, and I witness firsthand how much they care about each one. Lunch and bottle time is busy, but they are total pros with each kid. It’s a super supportive environment for both parents and babies. The kids have great open floor space to move and learn. The teachers meet each kid at their developmental level, and clearly care deeply about each one. The entire staff really makes an effort. They’ve been great with baby led weaning and accommodate all feeding needs easily. It’s not easy to get into, so I would call as soon as you learn you are pregnant, but if you can get a spot it’s absolutely a great environment!”

“My experience with Blue Diamond childcare was amazing. The women working there are very nice people and they take care of the kids. I also like how clean they are and how they make sure to keep the kids clean, educate them, entertain them and keep them well feed. This review will not be complete if I don't mention the responsible person on the kids: Mrs. Souad, such a nice sweet lady who loves her job with the kids and does her best with them, she is an angel,and the kids loooooove her as well as their parents. Definitely recommend this childcare center.”

“The Director Taylor is awesome. A great communicator, kind, and genuinely invested in the kids and staff. The teachers in the infant room, Mary, Krista, and Sondia are fantastic. Patient and calm and genuinely care about the kids. Infant childcare is a tough job but our baby boy genuinely enjoyed going to school (after the initial stranger danger). Childcare is a hard job and the teachers are there to help raise our children. I am thankful for this school and for their part in our child's journey!”

I love the environment, the staff is always friendly, the app is something I love (Receive photos and updates on their eating/bathroom breaks). “This place has been a GODSEND. I found them earlier this week and have had back to pack appts and I’m so grateful. I’m also starting a new job that works weekends and I need someone open Saturday's and they just came into my life at the perfect time. They’ve been so understanding with my incessant calling( I struggle to be away from her for longer periods) And are just so sweet annd patient and our daughter has LOVED them. I even requested no red and yellow food dyes and they’ve been so so so awesome about it. I could cry. Seriously would give them 10 stars if I could❤️”

“I am a current employee. I get breaks, support, and paid training. The other reviews are from disgruntled staff. I am happy here and so is my daughter. It is a smaller school that can cater to her needs and education. We wouldn't change our decision for anything. Please don't trust the other reviews if you are unsure just come in and see for yourself. It's a wonderful place and will take care of your kids as we do our own.Update: I left due to no fault of the center. I recently came back to work and so happy I did. They are still as fun and loving as before. I have no issues. My child is now in the preschool program and instantly was back at home. She has an anxiety disorder and they are amazing with her. The teachers all know and love all the children and are energetic and happy to be there. The curriculum that they teach the kids is top notch. I cannot say enough good things about them.”

“My husband and I looked into moving our son to the Primrose School at KU Medical Center when we were considering moving from North of the river to a downtown location -- a move that did not end up occurring. However, after meeting Shalin, one of the owners, and touring the facility and hearing about the curriculum practices and learning about the stringent Covid processes put in place during the pandemic, we felt in our hearts that Primrose was the school for our family and chose to still transfer our son, regardless of location convenience. Early childhood education is just too foundational to a child's development and we felt that Primrose was the fit to give our son the strongest possible foundation to grow from. And we have been proven right again and again.Weekly we are blown away by the attention to detail, level of professionalism and care that our son receives and support we feel as a family. It is apparent that the staff not only care for the kids and families, but that the staff are being cared for by the leaders and owners-- at Primrose people come first.We've watched our son's language skills blossom in the nine months he's been at Primrose. He's always been a bit of a social butterfly, but as he has fully embraced his "terrible two's" and struggles with big emotions (i.e. tantrums) the staff have helped him to learn how to redirect those feelings and communicate when he's upset, as opposed to just react and act out. And now we are entering the terrifyingly exciting time of potty training and are so grateful that the teachers at Primrose are taking the lead and guiding us through those muddy waters (pun fully intended) as well!Primrose has been a godsend for our whole family. Not only do we know our son is getting a strong developmental foundation to grow from with the guidance and care provided at Primrose, but we are given the support and guidance we need as parents -- because honestly it's kinda hard and overwhelming and it's really nice to know that there's someone out there who has seen it all and who is willing to offer a helping hand, a kind word and every now and then the really cool Hawaiian Ice truck in the parking lot on a hot afternoon that the parents are invited to come enjoy as well!Plus, having a fire station full of "wee-ooo, wee-ooo's", across the street is just about the coolest thing ever when you're 2.5 (and really as an adult too if we're being honest!). We love being a Primrose at KU family-- best decision ever.”

“Dropping our sweet girl at daycare is, by far, the toughest part of my morning. What makes it tolerable is a wonderful lady named Miss Melissa who is Rory's BFF times a million. When she sees Miss Melissa (or even hears her voice) I might as well not even be in the room.Thanks to Special Beginnings Early Learning Center for hiring people like Miss Melissa who make all the difference in our daughter's world.And for people like Miss Ashley, who are on top of everything and never leave me questioning for a second if my daughter is loved and cared for while I'm at work.”

“My son has been going here for a few months and he loves it. We had to suddenly switch schools on him and the transition was scary for us all. Laura and the other teachers made it a lot easier and we're supportive during the transition. My son learns new things everyday, more than I would have imagined. I feel he is safe and well taken care of. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. They are also sincere which is hard to find.”
