“I don't often leave reviews with my crazy busy schedule but I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to give a big shout out to the young man who helped my family and I in-store this past Saturday (I believe he said his name was Ethan). Ethan really went the extra mile and spent likely a total of 20-30 minutes helping me dig through the kids shelves looking for glow-in-the-dark high tops for my 6-year-old son. Ethan even went scouring through the back storage area for over 10 minutes and it paid off! He found the PERFECT PAIR!! Prior to this, he answered a bunch of questions about fit for me when looking at the men's shoes for my husband. All in all, we went in looking for one pair of shoes for my husband but we ended up buying FIVE PAIRS due to how amazing this employee was/is! If Ethan's manager/ boss is readying this... he deserves a raise/ promotion/ bonus! This young man exuded professionalism, care, courtesy, respect, and happiness working in this position. These qualities are not often seen in young people these days working in retail positions. So, this young man is extra special and deserves recognition for simply being awesome! Thanks Ethan. (P.S. - I hope I got his name correct! The young man was fairly tall and had very dark curly hair.)”

“Found them on a google search when I was looking to get my son get a new board. The owner is a really nice guy and built his board so he didn't have to wait till he got home to ride. Skate shop is located inside of an indoor skate park. Shop has mostly boards but they also carry some tees, hoodies, socks & shoes. They offer a (summer 2023) skate camp & Saturday skate classes. Lots of kids and a few adults skating the day I went in. Nice place, nice owner-Support Local KC Businesses!”

I was able to make my purchase, despite bad weather shutting down the electronics at the home office. I think I still managed to get back out before closing time. “They had a pretty good selection of clothes. The prices were ok and they had some sales going on which seems to be the norm. We weren't bothered as we browsed around the store either. Sometimes when your at a place in the mall the sales people are on you like a hawk, but not this place. They just left us alone until we had a question. When we did have a question about the product they were quick to respond with the best of answers. They seemed very friendly and knowledgeable about the products that they were carrying. I still think that this place is one of the most popular places to go for this kind of shopping. I can honestly say that you won't be dissatisfied with your own trip to this location. We now have added this place to our own little list of must visit shops.”

“There are lots of options, and there is a huge clearance section. Staff was friendly and helpful to figure out different shoes by need. They do not take checks for those who still write checks, which is a drawback. They didn't have a lot of traffic at the time I was in there but the store is bigger so lots of people can shop at the same time.”

“Off Broadway still has a decent selection, but not quite to the extent that it used to. The online store is amazing and easy to use, but the in store experience isn't quite what it used to be. The selection that they do have call still be hard to find in the size you want, even with a normal foot size. Still a great store, but not the 5 stars I used to give it.”

“Great buys! But only 2 cashiers for Christmas time is by far, not enough. Great service by the cahiers. I felt bad for them, though, I'm sure overworked and underpaid. The store was trashed because the public didn't seem to care they trashed the store, leaving merchandise like clothes scattered all over the floor. We know the employees will work late to clean it all up, only to repeat the next day. They need raises!”

“I love this indoor mall! Indoor malls are struggling to stay alive which I don't know why because seriously the convenience of indoor malls are awesome! They even have like car buggies you can rent for your little to ride in and somewhere to put your bags. That is the one thing that has always sucked about a shopping mall is carrying all your crap around and not just running to your car to drop them off cause you parked on the other side. But they fixed that! Shoot even if I didn't have a little I'd still roll that buggy! I love that it has a Nordys, a Barnes & Noble, Disney Store, and so many other great stores. It's not like some malls that are struggling so bad that they will rent out to anyone. So the store is bare and has a sheet up for their back room and the items are straight off the shelves of a sweatshop. I hope they can continue to maintain. I do know Black Friday was hopping this past year. That's always a good sign!”

“How can you not like Academy? Being from Texas, this reminds me of years and years of shopping for camping and fishing equipment and finding some pretty decent stuff for a reasonable price. I've even bought my share of sporting clothing from here, even to include golf shirts. They have a good selection of anything you need and it isn't priced ridiculously like Bass Pro, REI, or Scheel's. Yes, all those places will have a better selection of sporting items, but the prices are also all off the chart for me. I shop at Academy and get things for a much better price and a decent quality for my needs.”

“Wonderful staff! I hadn't bought a suit in a long time and the employees attending the floor/changing room were so very helpful, especially Thong! She answered all of my questions and suggested different styles and colors for me to try on, including blouses, and a belt. She recommended things according to my body type. She regularly checked in on me (and gave her opinion when asked) to see if I wanted a different size or anything of something and then she brought it to me. She asked for my name and referred to it multiple times. I never felt like I was being pushed to purchase anything. She gave me space to try the last pieces of clothing on and to make my decisions. The cashier was equally welcoming. I walked out with items I feel good about! I highly recommend this store!”

“Ive been shopping at this Aldo location for years, the girls here are kind, genuine and fashionable. The young lady w pink hair , I think she’s the manager. Always recognizes me, knows my size and helps me put outfits together. Helped me a couple of times at other locations around the area too. I’ve experienced interactions with other employees in the store and all are warming with their behavior. I’m happy to see my favorite store is doing well especially on the weekends, it can get pretty busy but usually they get me in and out fast. Only down side is that sizes/ bags do sell out fast. If you see something you like I recommend you buy it that day, chances are it’ll be gone after the weekend.”
