The game changer is allowing your guests to explore the zoo between the ceremony and reception. It was an absolute hit. Erin and her team went above and beyond at every turn (definitely spring for the day of coordination services).”

“Stayed for one night on business, arrived after 8pm. Wish I would have had more time, the hotel was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was spacious and very nice. Big fan of wide hallways and layout of my room. Furniture and decor was really cool. A great alternative to the cookie-cutter hotels I am used to staying at for work. The bar/restaurant area seemed really nice, I wish I would have been there long enough to try it out. Only minor inconvenience was with the parking garage. A bit of a journey to park and get back to the hotel, but the front desk person fully explained everything and I chose to go ahead and use the garage. Street parking is available and would be much more convenient for multiple trips in and out. On the plus side, I got my steps in! Would highly recommend if you are working in the area and need a place to stay and would also be a great vacation spot that offers a unique experience.”
“The vinewood is a clean and fun environment Live music snack food events and activities historic landmark and the only place to dance and dust off your boots country and music cool place.”
“This is not an actual lodge but an improved shelter house. It is air conditioned and has a nice, large kitchen that has a large windows where you can have a serving line. There is a refrigerator and stove. There are plastic folding tables and chairs available and a large seating area. Everything on the inside is clean.There is a large parking area in front. There is a basketball goal in the parking lot. Across the street and down toward the lake, there is a large playground and a large field.At the back of the shelter house is a sheltered porch area and a large two sided barbecue grill. There is a large field for guests and beyond that is the lake.I assume you need to call Shawnee County Parks and Rec to rent this facility.”

“They have really improved compared to years passed. The team running this place is on top of keeping things safe for kids and they show compassion and empathy to kiddos having a rough time. Went above and beyond for one of the kiddos with Autism, that was overstimulated, they found paper, markers and gave her a quite place to draw when she was upset.”
“The manager here blew me away. I had a kiddo with a ripped fingernail and Naomi spent probably 15 minutes with us, calmly offering popcorn and had the patience I've only rarely witnessed. Even though I assured her we came in with a broken nail and weren't upset with the facility in the least, she still took the time to soothe my kiddo and do everything she could to help, all while directing employees with incredible confidence. We came back today and the patient was eyes open for "my friend the boss lady", and the staff were exceptional again. The customer service here is outstanding - I don't know who does their training but they deserve some kudos, too.”

“I had to get knee surgery and needed a place to stay for the first two weeks of recovery so I wouldn’t be subjected to my home’s stairs. The Candlewood Suited was the right call. The 2 queen suite was perfect for me and my caregiver and also for when I was alone. I could navigate it easily with my wheelchair and crutches, and I was able to store food for two weeks. Staff were also incredibly accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend.”
“The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was good. I just wish it had some fresh fruit. Other than that, everything was very accommodating. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool!”
