“Wow! We don't have produce in our DG in Texas! Little high but worth it to driving a hour away. Most of the staff a little "slow" but one girl Dani there was very friendly and informative.”

“The area is very fortunate to have this general store in their neighborhood. The selection of food items and household items had me thinking of the general store that use to be in my little town years ago. I stopped to purchase Mullens imitation French dressing having driven an hour from the southern direction. This regional dressing is made in Illinois and Townsend food center is the farthest south store to carry it. While searching through the store for the first time, I witnessed many regional brands like Mullens that are stocked along with the big name brand items. I highly recommend anyone to visit this unique store and search the shelves and isles and take home these unique items that you won’t find at Walmart or Kroger. Yes the place is old, and some lights inside don’t work, and the meat cooler is not packed, but knowing that Kroger has 20% of their meat go past best by date so it gets reduced or discarded this doesn’t bother me. I’m guessing they Will special cut your meat order.”

“So, I'm addicted to deals. They have a great number of ways to save money. Discount produce, discount meats, and if you use the app there are digital coupons to clip and more deals to see. For being in a small town with very little competition it's not bad at all. Just search for those deals folks. Also, it's employee owned.”

“I honestly don't even remember coming here, but if I don't remember, that typically means nothing bad struck me as odds. However, that works both ways, as nothing stood out as good either. So I'll leave it at 4 stars.”

“Good stuff at good prices. Also, the staff is just great in the mornings, the dont seem to mind helping you find things (which is more uncommon than not in today's retail), and they get to know you once you've been in there a few times. Used to carry Arnold Palmers from Arizona tea, in a can, miss those days, bring them back please. Thank you guys for being happy even when you're not!”

“Usually has what I need. Staff is friendly, store is clean. Didnt throw a fit when my service dog jumped out of my car window, waited for someone to open the door for her and found me in the store.”
