You won't be disappointed.I visited this store a few weeks ago after having heard good things about Purple Mattresses from friends, and reviews online. When I walked in, Laura greeted me immediately, and was incredibly, and genuinely, polite and curious about what had brought me in that day. As other reviews have stated, Purple associates do not work on commission, their goal is the best nights of sleep for the customer.A brief detour to explain my bed history, this will be important shortly: bad. I'm used to sleeping on hard surfaces, improvising pillows, being comfortable with rocks poking out of the ground, or being on a bedrock outcropping, where my only cushion is a thin foam pad, or a small inflatable pad. So, no surprise, my current mattress is an old, beat-up firm innerspring that was on sale longer ago than I'd like to share today.Naturally, Laura asked questions about my bed history, and my preferred mattress level. As I told her the same bit I've told y'all, except in more detail, I could see her eyes get wider, and she questioned if I had any back pain from the, admittedly, uncomfortable sleeping arrangements (yes, but that's another story). So we started with the firmer ones. She showed the beds, talked about the beds, began to describe the technical aspects of the different levels of firmness, and I tried to understand better by actually laying on the bed.When they say firm, they mean firm.Now, I don't mean uncomfortably firm. It wasn't a trip to a former strip-mine in Appalachia hard, but firm. Supportive. Definitely something I was used to, and something I was comfortable with from a mental aspect.Laura is a professional, though, and she noticed that my body, on my side (how I sleep), was not in line, so that was probably going to continue discomfort. She stepped away for a second, and brought back an interesting-looking purple model, for lack of any better description.That was the surface I was laying on, and because of the nature of the material, and the construction, unlike just memory foam or springs, it would not degrade like a normal mattress over time. There's no break-in period, there's no break-in whatsoever. The model had both their soft and their firm materials, and she had me press down on both to see how they felt before I tried something new.Another author's note: I had initially described soft beds as a marshmallow, and I'd probably fall right through one. This got a laugh, and a, "We'll see," from her. You can probably guess where I'm going.Being patient with my foolishness, she asked if I would try a soft mattress. Repeating my earlier comment, I did try one.It was, quite possibly, one of the most comfortable, physically, surfaces I've ever laid on. Supportive without being too firm. I did sink a little, but not enough to feel enveloped. I could have probably fallen asleep in the store in short order if I'd laid there too long!After admitting my earlier error in judgement, she educated me further on the mattresses, and I had plenty of questions, too. Financing options if I needed to make it more affordable. Disposal of old mattresses. Frame questions. Pillows (they have a ridiculously good pillow). All in all, though I didn't buy a mattress that day, Laura easily spent an hour educating and guiding me to the right fit for me. I'll definitely be back to this store in the future to purchase a new mattress, and I'll be sure to ask for Laura.You should, too.”

“Update: delivery guys called not long after I posted this review. They then arrived within the timeframe they said they would, and set up was smooth. Changed rating. May update again depending how the product itself works out.Original review: Hoping my impression of this company changes quickly, but so far, I'd strongly discourage anyone from using them. Awaiting a delivery of a mattress and foundation paid for a week ago that should have been here by 6pm. Communication has been poor. Husband has had to call them at each point they said they would call us but didn't. We were told it would run a little late, but it is now nearly 8pm, and not only has no one called to say they're on the way as they said they would, they are now not answering the phone. Threw off our whole evening. He stayed home from work since we expected it much earlier. Incredibly disappointing.”

Tries the various mattresses and then we walk out after buying not one, but TWO of the firm, back cracking, mattresses; with a spring in our step and the joys of a great night sleep to look forward to.Highly recommend calling if you need a new mattress.
