“Actually I have lived here before and am currently staying here short term staff is top tier they have helped myself and some other people with fixed income be sheltered for minimum fee and I don't have any issues with my overall experience for the money you can't go wrong it is older and does have its share of shortcomings but all in all not to bad it's quiet here by 10 pm save for the weekend as the bar is open Thursday through Saturday maybe Sunday not sure about. I'd say overall 6.5/7 out of 10.”
“The venue was amazing. Could not have thought of a better place to host the 2024 Southeastern Wildlife Society ConclaveNearby activities: There is a plethora of amazing attractions nearby. Especially the lake and the park with free roaming elk and bison”
“Overall Moors Resort and Marina was a very nice stay and I would recommend it to someone else. We stayed in Towne House #31 for 3 nights. #31 was the end unit of their Lake Front cabins. The place was clean on arrival. One con about the place was it only had very basic appliances, pots/pans, and silverware. Aside from a salt and pepper shaker there was not much else given to you for your stay. There were like 2 plates, 2 bowls, a pizza cutter, spatula, spoon, tongs and two forks, knives, and spoons. I understand there were only two people in the cabin, but having some extra plates and bowls would have been nice to cut back on the constant dish washing. One other con were all the bugs. I understand being right next to a lake will attract bugs, but it was a bit excessive. Had I not brought my own bug zapper to plug in outside and inside, our place would have been filled with bugs. We were also extremely mindful of not keeping doors open, the bugs just somehow found their way in. Again, not a huge deal because you are right by the water and that comes with the territory. The TV/DVD player were very basic, if you are looking to connect an iPhone to the TV or have access to Netflix or any other streaming services, forget it. Internet was basically nonexistent as well. They have free unprotected WiFi, but cabin #31 was far enough away that you really only had one bar of WiFi, if that. That also didn't bug us much since we spent most of the time outside until we went to bed, but having access to the internet to find places to explore, watch movies, etc. would have been nice. Again, overall the stay was very nice, sunrises were beautiful, it was very quiet, and it was close to other attractions like Calvert City drive-in theater, the dam, and the land between the lakes for hiking/exploring. The staff was very nice for both check-in and out as well as a nice gift shop for purchasing good quality Moor's apparel.”
