“My car suddenly died at the stop sign outside their business. I had no power at all and was completely stuck. One of their workers came out and offered to help move my car or jump it. When they popped the hood, they realized the battery terminal was loose. He adjusted it and gave the car power to get into their parking lot. They graciously tightened the loose bolt. I couldn’t say enough great things about the workers who offered to help me when they could have just went about their day and ignored my stalled car.”

I took a chance on the first recommendation I got—Chris Smithhart. Two and a half months is a long time to be without a car. At one point, I even rode my bike 80 miles to make it to an interview after applying to Vintage Stripes Barber Academy. Along the way, Chris and I had some real conversations. We both walked tough roads in the past—struggled with addiction, spent time locked up—but now, we’re both living clean and rebuilding our lives. When I picked up my car, Chris let me take it before I had givenhim a cent. A couple of days later, I went back to settle up, and his wife told me I didn’t owe anything. As a woman it is easy to be taken advantage of when it comes to vehicle repair (unfortunately I speak from personal experience at other places) however not these guys!! These guys are honest and go above and beyond to help you and fix your vehicle! They are caring and care about you as a person and aren’t simply just out for your money/business. When I called to schedule an appt they were extremely busy and booked for weeks; however the owner worked me in for the next day since my issue was with my wheels and the owner told me that I absolutely did not need to be driving the vehicle like that!
