“Dollar General Market is a great place for quick shopping trips. They have a much larger selection than a regular Dollar General, including fresh produce, groceries, household essentials, seasonal items, and plenty of everyday necessities. The store is usually easy to get in and out of, making it a convenient stop when you don’t want to deal with a big grocery store. Prices are reasonable, and it’s nice being able to grab everything from food to cleaning supplies in one trip. Definitely a handy place to have in the Hillview area.”

“Has changed alot since my last visit. It's now a mini shoppe. Well organized and clean. Still has great prices. I am a fan. We'll be back to visit soon!”
“Good prices, music and selection. Friendly staff answer questions the best they can. Ambience to shop is good over all. I just wish they kept better track of what products they are running out of for better replenishment. Last time I couldn't find a type of pizza I always get here.”
“I love this place! We have found things we have been looking for a long time. We wanted an old door to hang on a blank space we had. We’ve looked everywhere and even when we traveled and found nothing. Our first visit to the antique mall and we found it!”
“Overall it was a good shopping trip to pick up some basics. I came in the middle of stocking which made it a little hard to get to things. Found all on my list but two items so not bad.”
“A great place to stop for all sorts of stuff including books food and toys, you never know what you'll find there next as they always getting new stuff in left and right and changing inventory, either way there definitely worth a quick stop to see what they have from time to time”
“I absolutely love Ollie's. You can find some great deals and you never know what you're going to find. Things can get a bit cluttered but I know how customers are, working in retail myself. My favorite thing about Ollie's is the staff. They are always so nice and helpful. I will visit any time I'm in the area.”
“It's the cleanest most organized beautiful Dollar General store I have seen in 4 States shopping. The staff is amazingly friendly. They work really hard. It reminds me of an old country store...the only thing missing is the penny candy and the flour/sugar sacks?? KM Andrews”

“This Dollar General is different from the other DG's. The staff cares about their store, so they keep the shelves clean, well stocked and neatly arranged. The floors are another story. They always look like a stampede of hippos ran through the store.”
“One of the older Dollar generals in the area, however it is A well-stocked store, they don't hassle you while you're in the store and they let you do your own thing, which means a lot to me because retail therapy is very important. Ty”
“Could not ask for a better experience! I love supporting small business and this lady is why! You won't get service like this at Walmart! You won't find better deals either! This was the first time I shopped here and it won't be my last. I highly recommend Ms. Bargain! *Amanda Metcalf*”
“I had a wedding emergency and had to run here for some disposable plates, cups, and napkins. The ladies here helped me put SO much. I would not have been able to get back in time to place everything if they hadn’t bee so knowledgeable and helpful. They knew exactly what they had and where it was, so I didn’t have to waste any time. Thank you again, gals!!”
“Dollar Tree offers a specialty item that feels like it came direct from the manufacturer, maintaining a level of quality usually reserved for high-end retailers. While this exact product typically costs upwards of $5.00 per unit elsewhere, finding it here for only $1.25 per unit is an absolute steal. As a connoisseur, I’m keeping the name a secret to ensure I can keep my own pantry stocked, but the value is truly unmatched.”
“They had everything and I use to go in there everyday but this time I didn't get greated as I came got dirty looks and for the first time I felt like I didn't belong in there so even though I've been going there for years I'll probably be finding myself a new store”
“3rd location we've been to in the area trying to get birthday balloons filled. All locations were out of helium. Someone needs to do a better job of ordering. Otherwise some good deals are available.”
“Dollar trees become very popular with a lot of people over the years. You can buy basic supplies and everyday things there. The price is reasonable remember when you buy things there I mean just be selective or whatever you want but most everyday things you can buy their. Remember once you use it it goes out in the trash either way you look at it it goes out the same way if you buy it any other retail or discount or it just goes out the same way. The prices are reasonable there especially with plastic supplies if you're going to have a large gathering you want to use plastic forks and spoons and knives and paper plates and bowls and cups and other supplies.”
“Love the gentleman that runs this location. He knows me and always tries to gave what I come in for but I know some things are beyond his control. Thank you to all that work at this location”
“Took my 3 from old here to pick out a birthday present. He had a great time
He did lose the toy as soon as he got home. But that's not the store's fault.”

“The employee named Ashton is one of the most helpful, empathetic and kind people I have met. I appreciate him & five below is so lucky to have him as an employee!”
“I recently visited the Galene Drive Dollar General after more than a month away, and I was genuinely impressed by the transformation. Typically, Dollar General stores can be a bit chaotic, with merchandise blocking aisles and clutter everywhere. However, this location was a pleasant surprise. It was well-lit, clean, and organized—an absolute turnaround from my previous experiences.
The store manager was exceptional. She greeted me warmly and was attentive to every detail, including managing the store’s atmosphere and addressing customer needs. I witnessed her interaction with a group of young boys who came in after school; she addressed them by name and kindly reminded them to leave their backpacks at the door. Her approach was neither aggressive nor condescending—more like a caring figure who knows her community well.
She also made a point to apologize for the air conditioning being out, even though it was not immediately noticeable. My wife visited the store a week later, and the AC issue was still apparent. The manager again offered a respectful apology and used my wife's name, which showed a personal touch and genuine concern.
This store has clearly benefited from a dedicated manager who seems to be making a significant positive impact. It's heartening to see a store like this thriving with customers who were leaving with full bags. However, I do have some concerns about whether upper management will provide the necessary support to maintain this positive momentum. If the manager is not adequately supported, there's a risk the store could revert to its previous state.
I'll definitely consider updating my rating once the AC issue is resolved, as it will be a sign that the store is receiving the support it deserves. In the meantime, I encourage others to visit this store and experience the impressive turnaround for themselves!”
“This is a typical Dollar General store.... Overstocked and understaffed. The morning male Manager and the evening female manager are two of the nicest people. They are always kind to everyone.”
“My kids and I came to this location on a busy day, and kayla was checking us out. She was THE only employee around. I listened to her get yelled at and shamed for “not moving fast enough”. Kayla was VERY nice, able to keep her composure, and handle the situations professionally.
It is horrible the way people can treat others. You never know what anyone is going through. Be kind.”
“This was my first visit to this store. The store was extremely well stocked, the merchandise was very neat on the shelves and the store itself is very clean. I only saw on employee, she was the cashier. She was very friendly.”
“Love this Dollar Store in particular because the strip mall has pretty much everything. The only thing thats a bummer is the restrooms are closed for repairs.. SMH don't ask but it was blown up.. 4 plus stars employees super helpful and this store actually has stocked shelves and variety.. ??”
“Danielle is an amazing person and manager! She has really made this store worth shopping at. I've been shopping here for over 6 years and since she's been here it's been organized and I can actually get through the aisles to find what I need unlike your other stores!”
“Needed a few cleaning supplies and they had it all and more. Close to home so no long commute and a bargain on what Walmart and the Dollar store have so I'm happy they're near.”
“First time I’m and JAIME was great. I appreciate good customer service and she delivered. The store was low on stock in the card department, however, everything else was neatly stocked. I’ll be returning.”
