“I had to euthanize my dog this past Monday, and I had a friend refer Elk Creek. The service took place underneath a tree out back and couldn’t ask for better weather. Dr. King and his staff member talked me through the entire process, as well as giving me time to grieve beforehand and after it was over. I could definitely see myself returning for future service. Last, I want to note that they were booked with appointments that day, however, took the time to work me in so my daughter could go after school. Thank you Elk Creek for providing such great service for my sweet boy.”

“My family owns a wildlife management business called Animal Ridders. Yesterday a woman called us in a frantic State thinking we were an animal rescue. She was sobbing her eyes out telling us how no one would help her. She had a 15 month old pitbull that had swallowed a foreign object 8 days prior and was on the verge of death. She went to Jefferson Animal hospital and they charged her $250 for the examination would not even give her an x-ray and simply sent her home with nausea medicine and told her to force feed the animal. This is the worst thing you could do for something with an abdominal obstruction. The only other thing they offer to do for her was to euthanize it. Her and her husband share one vehicle and he works full-time. We got in my mother's personal car drove to Crestwood to her apartment and loaded her dog up. We stopped by VSP in Middletown first and though they were cordial they were not much help but they did recommend Hopewell Animal Hospital on Taylorsville rd. We arrived there 7 minutes before they closed. The main veterinarian came out and said why does that dog looks so sad. I explained that he had an abdominal obstruction that had been there for 8 days and about the experience with Jefferson Animal Hospital. The owner was so desperate to save the dog and told them that she would surrender the animal if it meant that he could get the care he needed. The veterinarian asked if he was good with children and other animals. The owner explained to her that he was a gentle baby without a mean bone in his body. The vet got down on her hands and knees in front of the dog and in as much pain as he was he started licking and kissing her face and she instantly decided right then that dog was not going to die today. He was x-rayed and they found a large extension cord in his intestines and he was on the operating table within 30 minutes of us arriving there. I am happy to say I called this morning and he survived the surgery and is doing very well. I cannot say enough good things about the compassionate staff at Hopewell Animal Hospital. They completely covered the cost on this multi-thousand dollar surgery. Other places quoted five to eight thousand dollars. They understand that sometimes you cannot just put a dollar figure on the life. I encourage anyone who is able and willing to please donate to this business. Their staff are heroes!”

“I love the staff here at PetVet 365. I was first introduced to them last year after my dog Lucy suffered a back injury. Lucy became a patient here for physical therapy. April was purely amazing. Her compassion not only to Lucy but to my family in such a difficult time was beyond words. Sadly, Lucy passed away a short time later from complications from the back injury. April and the whole staff had a sympathy card to my family the next day, and we had only been there 2 times.My family and I got our new baby, Bella, this past week. Instantly we thought "PetVet" for her new doctor. We made our appointment, and they got her in there quickly to assess her. Since Bella was a rescue from a shelter, they took time to go over the history the shelter provided, and listen to my concerns, about what I had observed from her. We were never rushed, and Dr. Day-Smith listened to all of my questions and explained everything thoroughly. The staff here is a class act, and they take great care of their patients, and the parents.”
“Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish!
From the moment we called with an emergency, the staff at Derby City Crossroads Animal Hospital was incredible. I explained that we’d had a bad experience in the past with my German Shepherd because he doesn’t like to be held, and they immediately made me feel at ease. They offered the option to prescribe anxiety medication for him to take two hours before his appointment, which was such a thoughtful touch and immediately made me feel better.
They were able to get him in same day, quickly diagnosed a double ear infection, and treated him with such patience and care. To my surprise, my dog actually did amazing during the visit, a true first for him! Every single staff member we interacted with was kind, understanding, and professional.
You can tell they truly care about both the animals and their owners. I can’t thank them enough for turning what could’ve been a stressful visit into such a positive experience. Highly recommend to everyone in need of a vet. five stars all the way!

The staff is always very nice and the wait time is short. I don’t feel like they look at me and see dollar signs as soon as I walk in the door like a lot of other veterinarians around the area.
