“I'm about three months in. Middle aged with an office job for the last 20 years. I'm no stranger to hard work, but my metabolism is nothing like it was and I didn't feel good about my appearance. I'm not going to sugar coat this. CrossFit workouts exposed my strengths, weaknesses, and level of mobility to be inadequate. Crossfit 222 has great coaches who really help achieve goals and everyone has a great attitude. My strength, stamina, and mobility improves with each passing week. I feel better, look better, and am on my way to a healthier lifestyle because I put in the work. A lot of the exercises revolve around compound motion. It will test your limits, but it is an incredible feeling when you can do the things your body was built for.”
“I’ve been a planet fitness member for more than 14 years and transferred to this location when it opened. The staff are friendly enough and the machines all seem to be working fine. I think the problem with planet fitness overall is that anything goes.Gym goers often move equipment without putting it back and Jerry-rig bands that aren’t meant to be used the way they are used and you can’t find them when you need them due to moving them. I think it’d help if there were signage asking people to put weights back and to not use bands that are made for one thing and use them for some bizarre lift ( Trx strap in another area wrapped around a pole multiple times with some Jerry-rigged attachment). Today a group of men were doing a , “ routine” apparently leaving weight plates in other areas and using multiple machines at once. I walked out before completing even half a workout today due to being approached by one of these group members saying they were using the equipment I was about to use. I told him no one was here using it and he informed me that they were doing a routine in the other part of the gym and using that also. When I asked if they were still using it he stated no. ( What was the point?) I felt threatened by this person and have never felt that before at one of PF gyms. Please make your presence known around the gym and see what’s going on. I didn’t say anything because I was shocked. I come in, respect everyone’s space and workout and leave. I modify my workouts so I’m not using multiple machines at once, only one with a barbell or kettlebell ( if there are plenty for others to use). Needless to say I’m concerned that this behavior from members may continue or get worse if no one is anywhere but the front desk.”
